This place brings back a lot of memories. Compared to all the other arcades on HB, this one is the most legitimate(but that’s not saying much) Being the white trash that I am, my family fit right in. The staff can be good or bad depending on who is working, it seems like some of them do not care at all. For instance I got yelled at by an employee. I was punching a game trying to get my quarter back, and this kid tells me that’s not how it works. At one point my child came up to me and told me he won a jackpot that didn’t pay out. I asked an employee about it and he said that my son lost the game. I got really butthurt and bitched him out, but it’s ok because he gave us the 50 tickets. Whining/complaining really does get you far in life, because I am entitled. I’m glad my son was there to see that life lesson.

The place does have a good mixture of old and newer games. You can’t find tapper in many places. But my issues with the place is that it’s run by people that don’t really care. When a game malfunctions there is no one to be found and this happened at least three times. The place is very dirty. Would it kill someone to clean those giant fans. I wish I took a picture. Dust literally caked on the fans. If you’re in Hampton go to the other arcade and if not stick to Dave and busters.

Been going to this arcade since 2002, Alot of great games in this arcade such as Deal or No Deal, Wheel of Furtune, Ms. Pac-Man, Q-bert, Six gun Select, Connect four Ticket game, Bat-man. There are a few things I just don’t like about this arcade, there need to be more updated and new pinball machines. most of the pinball games are very out dated such as Adams Family, Monopoly, and South Park. Next, a few great new pinball games would be Wizard of Oz, Mustang 2015, Walking Dead, and Star Trek. Last this is a fun place to go to if you are ever at Hampton Beach to play Skee Ball, Video Games, Pinball, or any redemption games.

Brings back tons of childhood and young adult memories. All the bells and whistles clamoring, tickets spewing out of skeeball games and the sound of quarters being lost forever. Good times! Even smells the same. Oddly though it closes at 7pm on Sundays. Weird? They have to literally turn off the power to the machines because people won’t leave. Isn’t that a good thing? lol… Well enough of me walking down Memory Lane. I have to go turn in my 1000 tickets for a pencil with a funny erasure.

I always find myself going to this arcade whenever I go to Hampton Beach. It is a very nice arcade in general, right on the boardwalk portion of the beach where many different attractions are, from the Casino ballroom, to the shooting galleries, and especially to the food stands. That being said though, there are a few things that I specifically have to point out about this place that… well…annoy me. As much as I like going to this place, every time I go there, I feel like the entire arcade is handled very poorly as a business in general. There are three specific points I want to make in terms of this place not being maintained well: #1: The staff are hardly ever around when you have a problem, and the majority of the time, they aren’t even paying attention to what is going on around the arcade. I tend to usually see staff members either on their cell phones, or even playing arcade games themselves once in a while! #2: I feel like this place is cleaned once in a blue moon when I go there. Granted, I have seen people sweeping the floors of this place late at night before closing time, but as far as the machines go, I always tend to see fingerprints all over the place, meaning that the machines themselves probably don’t get cleaned very often(and that can lead to health problems if you ask me, but I hope that I’m wrong on this one in terms of how often the place is cleaned.) #3, and most importantly, There has NEVER been a time that I have gone to this arcade without seeing ATLEAST15 of the arcade machines being broken, out of order, missing parts, or just malfunctioning in general. In my opinion, the people that run this place tend to think that they can order a new machine when a new arcade game comes out, place it in the arcade, and let it run itself for an entire summer season without any issues. It does NOT work like that. I have worked at an arcade myself for many years, and I can tell you that it is crucial to keep games working properly not just to keep your business running well, but also to not make your business look like it isn’t maintained properly. In the end, I do like this arcade and I do recommend it if you’re looking for something fun to do if you’re in the Hampton Beach area. However, there are many other arcades that I can think of that are handled MUCH better in terms of both business and maintenence-wise, such as Joe’s Playland in Salisbury, and also Funspot up in Laconia. But overall, I would recommend this arcade to everyone, because it is definitely one of my favorite spots to go whenever I am down at Hampton Beach myself.
