This beach is great, but it would not be as memorable without those delicious tacos. Excellent fish tacos for a great price. I will dream about them until next symmer!!!

At the Hampton Seafood Festival they had a vending booth worth checking out for their fried haddock tacos with a slight heated bite. At first I thought the heat came from their homemade tomatillo salsa but I believe it was also in the batter for the fish, just the perfect amount of it for my palate. Everything from the homemade salsa, slaw and fish was delicious but don’t believe the fajitas were homemade. The tacos were 4.99 each al la carte, no chips or sides included which seemed sort of pricey and thought maybe they charged more because of the festival but checked out their in house menu and the price was the same. If you want a good fish taco it is worth it. The safe were very nice and friendly. But I was disappointed when they ran out on Sunday because I wanted more, they were that good.

Had the haddock tacos at the seafood festival and they were incredible! The toppings were delicious and complimented the lightly battered haddock perfectly and was not over powering. I heard other people raving about them as well. It was by far my favorite

As a fellow Californian, I had high hopes for this place. It wasn’t bad, but wasn’t as good as I expected it would be based on the other reviews. The fish tacos were decent but I didn’t care for the batter they used on the fish. It wasn’t traditional and was too spicy for my taste. We also didn’t care too much for the rice or the beans. Neither had much flavor, and again, weren’t really traditional. I hope to return to try the empanadas though.

Staying at Hampton Beach without a car does not seem to be a big deal as a day at the beach would be your main attraction. However, since food for me is an important part of it, having fried food, pizza, or fried dough wasn’t what I really wanted for lunch. So what do you do when you wanted something more than typical boardwalk fare but not quite overpriced hotel restaurant food either? Enter Lupe’s 55 that just opened this season. With options of rice bowls, burritos, or tacos, I knew I had to try their haddock tacos. Admittedly it was fried haddock but having the slaw, lime juice, and tomato mild hot sauce, all wrapped in a tortilla just seemed to make it better. Not cheap at $ 10 for 2 tacos, it also wasn’t overly priced either for what you get. Highly recommend supporting this alternate to typical boardwalk fare. I did, two days in a row!

THISPLACEISTHEBESTSPOTONTHESTRIP! The food is to die for, the service is impeccable, it’s clean and fast, and family owned and run! The staff is friendly and knows how to keep a customer coming back! The complimentary homemade salsa, made fresh daily, is exquisite! I’ll definetly be back!

By far the best food on the boardwalk. Their fish taco is as good or better than el Pelon in Boston(if you know el Pelon this is pretty damn impressive.) Everything else is great and authentic. Also very good mama made hot sauces. I highly recommend this gem of the sea coast

Went here last night on a spur of the moment beach trip with my sister. I’d heard a few good reviews on Facebook, so we stopped in. I had a chicken burrito and one of their s’more empanadas and my sister got some rice with guacamole and chips. The latter wasn’t really on their menu, but she has some dietary restrictions and they were more than accommodating for her. she was particularly impressed with the huge selection of available hot sauces! Everything we had was incredible! Great presentation even for a place that serves on disposable plates. Their motto of authentic and fresh really rang true through the whole meal. Soooo yummy! And the guys there were super patient with us and really helpful and friendly(thank you!) Especially in a place where fried foods and pizza are the main items on the menu all along the beach front, this place deserves a warm welcome and is a great alternative if you’re looking for something healthier than deep fried oreos. In fact, the girl working next door at the place that serves the deep fried everything looked a little unhappy this year when Lupe’s line was out the door and hers wasn’t like it has been in years past. Keep up the amazing work and incredible food! I don’t make it out there often but I’ll definitely be back! :)

The 1lb chicken burrito was awesome. The chicken was very good, it didn’t taste boiled and flavorless like a lot of other places. I definitely recommend this place

Let me just start off this with, I’m from New Mexico and we were on our honeymoon driving up the New Hampshire coast. We stopped in Hampton after visiting Boston for a few days. I was feeling some Mexican food, due to the«lack of» on the east coast. We ended up at this place Lupe 55, after speaking with the manager he explained the owner was born in White Sands, NM and raised in So-Cal. I got excited. I was certain this was the place and I wasn’t disappointed! The tacos were authentic street tacos and were exactly what I was looking for! The green sauce wasn’t green chile but was amazing with the just the right amount of heat(made fresh daily). The staff was extremely friendly and the food was amazing! This is most definetly the best spot in the boardwalk. Much love from New Mexico!

I firmly believe this is the best place to eat on the beach. At home I cook a variety of Hispanic foods but while vacationing, I, for the most part, stray away from a lot of cooking. I searched Unilocal for a good place to grab a bite for lunch and stumbled on the great reviews for Lupe’s 55. It was so nice to eat the food I usually eat at home and not take time out of my vaca to prepare it. The food tasted great! They accommodated to what I wanted substituted and what I would like left out of my meal. Customer service is perfect and there is an outdoor seating area! I ended up going back a few times for more.

Service was quick, staff was polite. Good prices. Had the chicken and cheese empanadas and it was okay but I’ve had better. I would be interested in trying other items on the menu.

Stopped by today after walking the pier for some lunch. The Unilocal reviews beckoned us and we were excited by the idea of fresh light food in the sea of friend options that is the Hampton beach strip. I ordered the fish tacos and my boyfriend had the steak tacos. Mine were amazing. The flour tortillas were beyond delicious. My boyfriends steak was a little less exciting although still tasty. We split a empanada and the dough was butte and delicious and the filling was full of flavor. The customer service was also very pleasant and the owner came over to give us some tomatillo salsa that he said his mother makes(it was delicious by the way). The only real criticism I would have is that the menu and ordering process was a tad bit confusing. Especially because it doesn’t tell you the pricing is per taco. Overall this is my new favorite quick stop for food at Hampton beach I will definitely be back!

I ordered the haddock burrito and was very pleased. My daughter got a rice bowl with chicken. It was a decent size and more than she could eat. I got to try it and it tasted phenomenal! My sister got the steak burrito and says it was awesome! I left feeling like I ate a great, healthy meal. Staff was very friendly which is why this place deserves a five star review. Will go back upon next visit to Hampton beach.

I gave it a very high rating due to authentic mexican food. Fresh and great taste. Good pricing for the area. We will eat here at least 2x during our 1 week vaca.

Authentic and Fresh is their moniker, and that rings true at Lupe’s 55!!! The haddock tacos are to die for. Unbelievable! The piece of haddock was large and flash fried to perfection… Moist, succulent, and flaky– as it should be! Authentic corn tortillas, doubled up– which is my absolute favorite!!! If you’re looking for affordable and high quality authentic Mexican«beach food», Lupe’s 55 is your spot!
