This is probably one of my new favorites small tapas(tah pahs) cold and hot. Authentic personable service! Camille’s hospitality and clever service empowered my husband to go for this adventurous side and requested that she surprise us with her choice. The Mac and Cheese, BBQ Rubbed Salmon and smoked salmon Bruschetta was just right! The décor and ambience are inviting.

Excellent Dinner… Just Excellent! We stopped here one evening recently on one of the last cool and wet days of spring. Parking is located on the street and we were able to grab a space right in front of the old building that houses Six. When you walk in the door there’s an immediate vibe. The lights are low and the place is fairly dark, however where you need light, you’ll find it. It shines over the tables and counters and the entire room has a great ambiance. On this visit we saddled up to the counter in front of the Chef, Rich Chinnock, so we could shoot the breeze and inquired about the evenings specials. While going over the menu I also tried out a microbrew I haven’t had before that was quite tasty. It’s called Toasted Lager from a company called Blue Point Brewing Company and I ended up having a couple of them. Very good lager. For dinner I decided to go with the evenings special which was Pineapple Hoisin Duck with udon noodles. My friend ordered the Bacon Gnoochi. Words cannot describe my entrée. It was incredible. The same goes for the Gnoochi. Just incredible. Honestly I probably could have eaten both entrees. They were so delicious. Some of the best food I’ve had in a long time. I definitely suggest checking Six out. Rich is an amazing chef and makes incredible dishes.

Great spot! We stopped in on our way home from the beach because the kitchen is open late. Extensive cocktail menu and beer selection. Great variety of tapas. Everything was excellent. It reminded me of the kind of tapas bar you would find in New York City or DC but with reasonable prices. For dessert we roasted smores at the table. Not really a place for kids but we felt very welcome and our 2 year old enjoyed the flatbread and of course the smores.

I went to Six with a friend from her suggestion. She had frequented the restaurant before. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful with suggestions since I had never been there before. Every drink I ordered was tasty. Definitely loved the drinks. My friend and I ordered a round of different tapas, but I would say they were average. I also ordered the tuna tapas(can’t remember the name but they were described like tuna tartar) and never received them. We had so many other tapas that I didn’t make a big deal about not receiving them, and the waitress realized her mistake. The Smores were a fun and delicious menu item. For it to be known as a tapas restaurant I just felt the tapas were average. The setup inside is pretty and great for a date or hanging out with a couple of your girls.

Everything taste ridiculously good.(Maybe except for bibimbap, not outstanding but still good) It’s just hard to tell from outside. Slightly pricey given portion of tapas. They made everything from scratch.

Excellent place for some tapas and drinks. The drinks were very good and the tapas were tasty. As with most tapas, they were a bit expensive but well made and very tasty!!! My favorite was the mac and cheese. WOW! I never thought putting jalapeños in Mac & cheese would be amazing! Now let me say the best of the evening was the S’mores dessert. OMG they bring out a little grated bunson and lots of marshmallows, Graham crackers and Hershey chocolate. You make your own ‘s mores!!! A++++ will be going back soon!!!

Visiting from Atlanta. We were impressed with this place. We loved the cocktail called«The Reef». For tapas, our favs were buffalo cauliflower and the potstickers. Hip atmosphere.

Absolutely amazing line up of tapas, drinks, and service! I will definitely return. If you are in Phoebus, and choose not to go here – you are making a big mistake. Raphael & Jackie make this place. Request them! Not to mention, they are beautiful

This place was amazing! From our whimsical waitress, beautiful art/quaint atmosphere, to the amazing variety of foods; don’t even get me started on the s’mores!!! Needless to say, my evening was a celebratory one in which I’m glad I came to this bistro for such an occasion. I will definitely be returning.

Great food, but service was ridiculously slow and unprofessional. Can’t remember the last time I was served food BEFORE getting our drinks. Not to mention having dirty silverware dropped on me without even an «I’m sorry». If the service would have been better, we’d definitely be back… but this will be a once only trip for us.

Love tapas! This is definitely a cute place to plan a date night! HR really doesn’t have the whole tapas scene down and this place is a great example to led the way. Firstly, lets talk about the seasonal menu! Yummy. If I didn’t have to work my ass off to burn the glorious amount of calories I would have consumed when I went than I would have ordered a little bit of everything. The menu is interesting and just a satisfying. I ordered a blackened mani with tabuleh salad, and some arugula pesto mac n’ cheese. Both plates were on point! The mahi was like butter and paired well with the salad. The mac n’ cheese was delicious but I think for being a tapa, the portion size was a bit much. My sister ordered the artisan cheese plate, which came with a delicious dollop of what I think was sweet pepper relish. She also ordered the tuna tartare, another excellent dish. My friend ordered the mushroom soup. She literally fended me away from taking multiple helpings… it was warm, creamy and super flavorful. The brussel sprouts were also good that she ordered but I think if they would have roasted a bit longer it would have been better. Service was great. Food was served at a reasonable pace. The server was awesome, very attentive and not rushy at all. She took the time to explain the menu and make any dish/drink variations. Drinks were awesome, they also have quite a wine list. Since this place in in downtown Hampton, there is a lot of parallel parking so be mindful of that. Overall? Going back next time I’m in town for sure!

This area could use a Real restaurant, and this little bistro fits the bill. We’re visiting family here, and no one had ever heard of Six even though it’s five minutes away. Well, they know now! The atmosphere is trendy and fun, with a healthy share of patrons sitting at the bar. We chose a quieter table in the rear, which is where we spotted the Specials board. Our server also made a point of mentioning it. A few of the reviews complained about service, and I am awfully persnickety. We received friendly and very fast service from more than one employee. Don’t worry. The menu has something for everyone, and an enormous amount of cocktail choices(nicely detailed) — I can recommend the Scotch Slam, which really packed a punch. We shared small plates of pea hummus(6 pieces of pita), chicken lettuce wraps(4, not quite enough chicken but very good), roasted Brussels sprouts(large serving, and a favorite), salmon w/mashed cauliflower(the best of the bunch), and Carolina bbq sliders(2, larger than expected). He also got two of the specials(fish chowder and bread with cranberry butter, another favorite). A lot of widely varied choices, and not a single miss. That’s a successful evening!

I always have a great experience coming here. They are open later than the other bars on the street and have great food and drinks. Something I discovered recently was the smores. They brought out a mini fire pit with graham crackers, Hersheys chocolate, marshmallows and chopsticks. Chopsticks were to roast your marshmallows with, of course. Perfect ingredients to impress your friends with and make some smores. When you order tapas, I recommend ordering a couple of items if you plan on having dinner since tapas are smaller portions. If you want a light dinner, then order one tapas item. Overall, great ambience and great restaurant!

The food here is amazing. The atmosphere is great for dinner with friends or a date. The drinks are well mixed and semi-fairly priced, a little bit on the high side, but definitely worth the ambiance of the cute little restaurant.

The food here is always amazing! Really some of the best food in the area. The selection changes regularly with some standards that are always available as well. The drinks are always spot on, too. Cool atmosphere, and you never feel like you’re being rushed or kicked out. I love having girls’ night here! The service is usually slow due to everything being prepared fresh, so don’t come if you have somewhere to be quickly. Oh, and be sure to bring cash because they don’t like to split checks. Can be pricey but it is worth it. Overall…great food, great vibe, great place!

This place is fantastic. Very quaint, dimly lit — super for a nice date night. We have been here a few times to try their various tapas and love it. I wish I had pictures to post! Dessert is the most fun — get the s’mores! I love a little childhood fun. Affordable, quaint, good food — and a diverse bar — what more can you ask for?

I came here tonight for a second time with a friend for a spontaneous dinner. The bartender greeted us when we walked in and told us to seat ourselves. It was surprisingly empty for a Friday night at 6:30ish. There were only a couple of tables filled, we had no problem getting a seat. They have a huge selection of cocktails, martinis, and beer. I’ve had a couple martinis and cocktails, and it’s really a hit or miss for some of them. But all of them are fairly strong. It is tapas/small plates, so I recommend getting 1 – 2 plates per person. 3 if you’re feeling optimistic. My friend and I got 6 plates to share which was wayyyy too much. And we’re both big eaters. We got the crab cakes, chicken and waffles, potstickers, mac and cheese, falafel, and goat cheese/tapana/roasted garlic/carrots/and bread. I could have gone without the falafel and potstickers. The potstickers was nothing to write home about(that might just because I’ve eaten my fair share of postickers/dumplings) but the sauce was decent. Falafel was just eh. The mac and cheese stood out. There was some chopped up jalepenos, and that just made it so much more delicious. Chicken and waffles was surprisingly good as well. I know a couple of reviewers thought the service was awful. But our waiter was awesome. He came by to regularly refill our waters. He noticed that I hadn’t quite finished my cocktail and asked if it was okay, which I appreciated a lot. He was prompt and not too overbearing. The atmosphere was chill and relaxing. Although it’s a little more than I’m willing to spend on dinner all the time, I wouldn’t mind coming back to see what else they have to offer. There is plenty of street parking, and there’s a public parking lot around the corner. They also don’t have take out boxes if you do happen to order too much food. But then again, I doubt you have to get a take out box for tapas.
