I’m from a town in MA that has 2 awesome, family owned sub shops. When I moved to NH I was really disappointed in the shops local to me that I would drive 25 minutes to my home town to get a decent sub. My parents got a house in Hampton and we found this shop and are thrilled! The sandwiches use great veggies and meats, the fries are nicely seasoned and the chili is I nice option for chilly(pun intended) seacoast days. When I come to Hampton I always make a stop here and haven’t been disappointed.

When you’ve had a full day at the beach and have two kids(ages 2&4) who are on edge coming from a birthday party and you know you need to feed them before a 1hr drive home, but are fearful of the full-on restaurant meltdown and know they couldn’t handle sit down service, TnT Subs is kind of the perfect place to bring them. Sure, it’s not fancy, but it has the following… 1. A kids toy basket with random toys 2. Beatles & James Taylor & Van Morrison playlist 3. A nice selection of subs and sandwiches(we got grilled cheese, Turkey Panini, Mac & Cheese, and Pastrami Panini — all delicious). 4. Nice guys to take your order 5. An empty seating/dining area at 5:00pm on a Saturday. Seriously, it was awesome. The kids got to play with the toys and we didn’t have to worry about them bothering anyone. Our food was out in 6−7mins. It totally hit the spot. Meltdowns averted. Kids fed. Mom & Dad were happy campers. The kids were even chill on the ride home. I don’t really give Sub shops much cred as a viable family dining, but after TnT Subs, sub shops are now on my radar as pinch hitters for feeding(aka disarming) ticking timebomb toddlers.

Disclaimer — I worked here about 18 years ago as a delivery driver when I was home for summer from college. And in that time this place still has the best steak bomb sub I’ve ever had. There are some other sub places around town that I give 5 star to for their particular types of subs and TNT is no different when it comes to the steak bomb. Overwhelming amount of meat, veggies, and flavor crammed into a nice fresh sub roll… simply delicious. Also high on my list is the fried baloney, the taco’s and of course their famous chili. When ever I come home to Hampton to visit my folks, this is on the must stop list.

I’m a bit confused. The new owners brag about their steak subs But I went there at 7:20 on a Saturday night… They were Closed!!! On a Saturday night when they post open until 8!!! Tough way to stay in business! Guess I’ll have to arrive at 6 to taste them!
