They might as well have just went to the bank and taken money out of my account. They loosely use the term quesadilla. It’s more of a taco with with cold shell. The inside was good but it wasn’t 16 dollars good. All in all I wish I would have went somewhere else.

Wonderful local hang. Great food. Great service! Faves were the Custard French Toast as well as the Portuguese Sausage.

I’m really surprised at all the negative reviews. There was only one server who was 8 months pregnant and she was great! Everything came out quick and she would refill my coffee before it was empty. The food came exactly how we asked for it and it was amazing. As far as ambiance… You have a view of the jungle across the street and the walls are covered in all of these really cool pictures of surfing and fishing. If you expect more out of a little breakfast spot in Kauai then maybe your next vacation should be New York City.

$ 4 coffee is annoying. Especially with no options besides sugar. Other than that it’s a greasy spoon short on friendliness. Definitely doesn’t fit the town’s MO of organic, local or healthy choice. Overall price was high as well. Looks like other reviewers agree. I should’ve checked them before we popped in.

Great papaya bowl with fabulous homemade granola. You should sell the granola for fans to purchase and take home.

I love the atmosphere. plastic chairs, waitresses with flowers in their ears. I can’t say enough good about this place, the taste of the coffee makes me imagine they have a giant bucket that sits in the sun all day, and when order is up they scoop with a wooden bowl and serve us. They give the check before the food even comes out which is lovely because we are always in a rush here on the island. The microwaved scone from Safeway was the best part! As my spoon bent trying to cut this magnificent scone I thought about the labor and hard sweat that would incur next as I tried to cut my uncooked quesadilla open. To my delight as our order was being prepared I saw each patron receive their meal and add waterfalls of Tabasco or ketchup to their meal. I would personally like to thank the 12 year old chef in the back who cooked everyone’s food today.

I wouldnt really say the staff was«rude» but I would say they just dont give a shit about your experience. They just kind of come up to you and say«whaddaya want» and then drop off your plate without saying a word. Food was ok but small portions for the price. They were cash only so i had to walk 2 blocks to the ATM in heavy rain and leave my phone as collateral. Stop being cheap and get a cc machine

Food was Denny’s like for breakfast. Staff was friendly and fast service. The reason for 2 stars was the price is outrageous even for being a tourist spot. The views around the area are worth it but there are other choices to make.

Expensive mediocre food. Do not bother coming here. Just say no. Denny’s type breakfast at $$$ prices. The best thing here is the mac nut cinnamon roll. Have that with side of papaya and coffee. Skip everything else(you can easily make it at home).

We initially went to baracuda for breakfast but they were out of pastries so we ended up here. What. A. Mistake. The staff all but ignore us and one rolled her eyes when we asked if we could sit on the patio. Ok. Welcome to Hawaii! Ordered three items + two coffees. Pinetree something: two over medium eggs with toast and hashbrowns. The hash browns were the worst I’ve had in years. I could have microwaved some better from a bag. My eggs had she’ll pieces in it. Toast was the best part of the meal. My brother ordered something with eggs cooked over medium(cooked well, unfortunately). Terrible hashbrowns and two of the smallest pieces of spam I’ve ever seen. The macadamia nut sticky bum was too sweet with almost no nuts. The coffee tasted burnt. Worst of all? The waitress kept walking away from us when we asked for stuff. When another table sat nearby she was more than pleasant and helpful. What?

Underwhelming. $ 11 for half a papaya with granola and yogurt. Papaya not cut up making it very hard to get to. $ 100 for breakfast for 4. No one was impressed. Do you have egg whites. No. Do you have Sriracha? No. Lots of no. That being said it was the only place open and the server was nice.

The worst food and worst service I’ve had in a long time. Party of 6 came for breakfast, and I asked for a slight modification to a meal. They were absolutely unwilling to change anything, and ended up charging me $ 12 for a stale tortilla, a few spoonfulls of undercooked bell peppers and 2 tiny little scoops of rice. The rest of the food was not good either, according to the folks I was with. My biggest issue, beyond the crappy food, was how unwilling they were to help. Absolutely wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

If you enjoy being bent over and taken for all the nickels you have in your pocket… This is the place for you! Let’s start with the service… No please no thank you just sideways smirks and back handed compliments. The orders came out completely wrong and they never made an attempt to fix it. The price! We spent over $ 230.00 on breakfast… Oh well we are on vacation right?

It’s hard to find a brunch place during the week if you want something quick and cheap. This was a great spot. It’s a hole in the wall and it’s not big. But it’s quaint and cute. It’s not great décor, it’s like patio furniture in a corner of an old house turned into a small café. The food was good and it was a great price. It hit the spot. Lots of pics of locals on the wall but they look like they have had water damage. Still, it’s different and it was quick. Staff was small since the space is small so to me it didn’t seem like I had to wait long for anything. It’s the only place I think the locals will refer you to unless you want to go to the high end hotel that costs way more than this place.

We had just landed in Hawaii the night prior and this was Xmas morning, so we were nervous about getting food anywhere. The surfer ambiance and décor put us in the right mind to start off our vacation. It was the kind of simple and ordinary breakfast we’d cook in our own kitchen with decent coffee. They were busy and moving tables fast once you were done eating.
