Pahio At the Shearwater

We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom Condos looking over the northern shore of Kauai from ¹²⁄₂₇ to ¼. The view over the ocean is AMAZING, especially in the winter season when the ocean is really big. Our unit was pretty spectacular and according to the front desk representative one of their feature rooms (209 on the Wyndham portion). It went right up to the cliff looking northwest towards Kilauea Lighthouse and Anini Beach. Several mornings there were surfers getting towed by a jet ski onto the 30 – 40 foot waves breaking on the Anini Reef (The largest reef in Hawaii), what a great thing to drink coffee to when you wake up.
Princeville is really nothing more than a resort community, I wouldn’t even consider it a town. Luckily Hanalei is right down the highway and has quite a few shops and restaurants, I would suggest Kalypsos or Hanalei Dolphin.
It can be kind of hard to find at night so drive slow and watch out for Roosters;)
