Again, this review is about the surf school… I was contacted about 30 minutes after I wrote my review and was given half of my money back. It is important for me for people who read my review to get the full story. The end result seemed«fair», it was just very unfortunate that we were not guided to reschedule right away, instead of swimming a half mile out, then proceeding to attempt to surf with no waves, while a reef was about 3 to 4 feet below that you would constantly step on and cut yourself. The worst part, by far, was the very, very nice instructor who lied after the fact about convincing us to go. He even said it was stupid that his boss makes him take people out with those conditions. Then lied right in front of her, sort of baffling. It seemed very out of character for him from the little we knew about him. The experience was just an overall bummer. The owner said the photographer had some great pics, but wanted me to pay for the pictures… after all that, really? Why even say that to me? I would offer them up as a consultation for the bad experience, but then again, I provide my customers with awesome customer service and receive amazing reviews. Nowadays, with how easy it is to tell the world about your experiences in a matter of seconds, why one would ever think it is OK to not provide good service is astounding. The rest of the honeymoon at least has been good. As the Rolling Stones say, you can’t always get what you want.

My Boyfriend and I have shopped at Quicksilver for years. Today we brought back a pair of slippers that I purchased a few months ago and I barely used it. And it broke at the Honolulu airport yesterday. I explained the issue to a salesperson named Pua –she also claimed that she was the manager on duty. Her response was I should have called her. So i told her it broke yesterday at Honolulu airport. So I asked her when did u when me to call? She said when it broke. Her english was extremely bad and her face was stricken with anger and her attitude even worse. If she is a manager on duty-I hope the owner of this shop reads my review. My problem is solely with Pua, she needs a serious attitude adjustment. I can’t imagine that while she is working or on duty that the store makes money. I will never walk into that store if she is anywhere close to the shop. You know there are a lot of people on Kauai who needs a job and would love to work at QuickSilver. My boyfriend owns his own business and is a successful business owner for 19 yrs. Has lived on Kauai for 19 yrs and has serviced the people of Kauai as well. I help him manage his office. WEDONOTTREATPEOPLELIKEHOWPUATREATEDUSTODAY. Please consider sending Pua to a management course. But… to be very honest it’s NOT worth the money for the course. I read other reviews about Pua-she is BAD news and rather disgusting!!!

After purchasing a few shirts from this shop, I went to the bathroom which they told me was around the corner of the shop. I got there and it was locked so i figured there was somebody in there. Then a women from the store named Pua(saw her nametag) approached me holding a key. She let me know i needed a key to enter the restroom. Then, SHELETHERSELFIN. Which i thought was weird. When she got out, i figured she was going to let me in after her. However she slammed the door behind her and RUDELY told me I needed a key. I was shocked. I showed her my bags in which the shirts i bought were in, displaying i was a customer. And she turned her back to me and walked away. I then had to follow her into the store she set the key and i had to ask another worker for the restroom key. This is just a very good example of how terrible their customer service is and that Pua should NOT be working there!

Keep asking for Kaua’i Boys clothing and stickers. They used to have the shirts in 2008 – 2011, but not recently. The shop has a lot of great photos and memorabilia from Titus. I just wish they would continue to carry the Kaua’i Boys stickers and clothing to this day. In fact, Titus had Kaua’i Girls clothing too, but it was sold at another shop instead of this one. I hope Titus brings back his stuff. Great man, great waterman, and a true legend!

It’s a really pretty Quicksilver shop. They have a great selection of clothing here. Nice boards as well. I didn’t buy anything, but I’ve stopped by to look a few times. I’m sure they love that! ;)

i love stopping by the quiksilver surf shop everytime i’m out in hanalei. roxy is my favorite surf brand and they definitely have a nice selection of roxy & quiksilver stuff. the staff is very friendly & helpful. there has been more than one occasion where helped me in finding what i need, and if they didn’t have my size in stock, they’d put my name on a list so that if it did come in, they’d personally call me! also, this shop is very clean and very well organized. i don’t feel like it’s cluttered and i always have a pleasant shopping experience!
