Moonbow Magic

I really loved this store and what it has to offer. The items are very unique and the owner was wonderful. I found several beautiful things that I love. I would highly recommend this store!

This is a special shop with magical items like jewelry and home décor items. Much more than the typical souvenir shop. We got a necklace made on the island with pearls and also a mermaid painting for our daughters room! Art night is Friday night in hanapepe… moonbow magic is just what the name suggests.

Lots of fun little knickknacks and jewelry, and the 2 stars I gave is strictly for the very nice customer service.
However, we had a fast one pulled over us. My 3 year old became hypnotized by a basket of cute cotton mermaid dolls for sale for $ 12. We got this whole shpeel about how they were handmade by someone she knew personally (I had mentioned in an earlier exchange with her that I wanted to buy only local, handcrafted art and nothing imported from anywhere). Well, turns out I went later in the week to the Kuaui Products Fair where they had just boxes upon boxes of the same mermaids for $ 5. Turns out they are imported.
We were more than upset that we paid $ 12 for the mermaid at Moonbow Magic. Buyer beware, sure, but when I’m being told that it’s handmade in Hawaii of course I’m willing to spend a little more.
