A truly inspiring artistic shop bursting with color, fabric, and unique finds.
The owner is sweet, very helpful, and her creativity can be felt throughout this tucked away gem. I bought a custom chocolate brown trucker hat she stitched up with funky pastel fabric and a cute logo. Upstairs is vintageland including old fabric, sea shells, women’s cloths and a banana salt and pepper shaker which I almost bought. Instead I picked up a baggie of local shells for 4 bucks. She’s also got some fabulous hand made cloth pouches with dead stock fabrics. Love!
This place will forever be on my must visit list every time we’re in Kauai!

The owner of The Workshop Shannon … Werk! She is such a talented artist! I’ve been following her since I stalked a lady on the beach for her hat.
I was then introduced to the few shops on Kauai carrying her hats and dresses. Followed by her Website shop and numerous trunk shows on the island of Oahu.
I love a local made anything and the emphasis on collaborations and helping out her fellow artists are two of the numerous reasons I love Shannon.
Her store and Instagram feed will change your life!

Workshop is an adorable store open Friday nights during art nights in Hanapepe. If you’re familiar with Etsy, it’s like Etsy in a brick and mortar location. They have vintage wears, paintings, jewelry and clothing. While I almost nabbed one of the cute paintings, I ultimately bought a remade vintage hanging lamp.
This is where my expert and practical decision making skills come into play — should be fun carting a lamp with a large glass globe all the way back to Texas!
