About a 45 minute drive from Omaha, this place has everything from disc golf to Bison to Elk to river fishing to cool walking trails. The annual maple tree tapping event occurs here in March– I highly recommend it. It was held in the Olsen Lodge. The staff run through the interesting and educational tree tapping process for REAL maple syrup. Due to the large amount of trees here, this place is probably gorgeous in the fall. If you are a tent camper, there are several spots to choose from. If you are more of an RV camper enthusiast, there’s a new area of pads that were put in last year, according to the park ranger. A great park to visit; looking forward to going back!
