A huge store for all kinds craft supplies, cake decorating supplies, board games, yarn(duh) etc. I went there looking for painting supplies. They didn’t have a large selection, but what they did sell, they had in stock. That was nice, unlike other stores in the area. The best store I found for painting supplies downeast was in Camden – Rockport Blueprint.

I had not expected much when we pulled into the parking lot. I was ISO a LYS and the building seemed rather bland. But dag nabbits, was I wrong! There was a bounty of wonderful wool and knitting supplies. Sometimes I do not mind being wrong. :))) I only wish I could be so more often! The whole store was not just for knitters, crocheters and the like. They had a large designated area set up in the back with tables and pattern books, the works! The walls were lined with all varieties and grades of yarns from beginner craft to super knitter synthetic to natural in every color of the rainbow! I was particularly interested in local yarn but they were understandably a bit pricey for me, a knitter whose skill is somewhere in between those mentioned above. I ended up with a couple of skeins of a beloved standby in case I had too much downtime in the Downeast. They were kind to wind them up for me. I honestly did not look at the other items for sale in the rest of the shop but The L. did get a delicious piece of peanut butter fudge. When next in the area I will surely be seeing Shirley again and in the meantime when I see my lovely wound balls of wool I will have fond thoughts of such a nice experience in a terrific LYS! :))) PS The cell service is miserable in that area but they do have wifi. For check ins of course! :)))

I’ve been going here for years. Large selection of lovely yarns, crafts, trinkets and more. Perfect for gift shopping and always fun to poke around the odd back rooms and see what’s on the sale rack.
