Salon Cotoure & Spa

I’ve avoided having my hair cut since March 2014. That’s correct, I went almost an entire calendar year before having it cut. I’ve had some less-​than-​stellar experiences, so I was a little scared. So on Thursday, ²⁄₁₉ I made an appointment for Monday, ²⁄₂₃. I received a call on Friday morning confirming my appointment. On Monday, I showed up for my appointment about 15 minutes early. My stylist was Rechelle. She was very friendly and upbeat and of course asked what I wanted. I had pictures of what I didn’t want (i.e. pictures of my most recent haircuts from other stylists in the area) and then showed her my Pinterest board of what I do like. She got to work and gave me the best dang scalp massage I’ve ever received. All throughout my haircut, she made polite conversation (but not the awkward polite conversation that usually happens in the chair. You know what I mean.) and made my experience exceptional. She also curled my hair and showed me exactly what she was doing the entire time so I can hopefully re-​create the look. So I basically got a shampoo, massage, good conversation, cut, style, and a tutorial all in the space of an hour. The pricing was also way lower than I was expecting, which is also a great surprise. I’ll definitely be going back to Rechelle from now on!

Megan is wonderful! I live outside of Los Angeles, and I drive in to Hanford in order to visit my parents and to get my hair styled by Megan. I get a lot of compliments on my cut, and people assume that I get it done in LA. It was hard for me to find a stylist. I tend to try out a lot of places and then stick with one for years and years. Megan makes me look fantastic. I’m sticking with her!

Great location and friendly staff. My husband was the one who booked my appointment (s) and they were able to fit it same day. They have a birthday special I guess or they were very generous. Salt scrub and massage with the mani pedi. Hannah was very good and attentive to details. Pay with your card and they have the card readers on their phone. Massage (from Patricia) was very relaxing and thorough (I don’t normally get them, but for a first it was amazing! I fell asleep.) Very easy to talk with. They were both locals to Hanford and being the new girl in town they definitely gave good tips I’m looking forward to trying. I’d love to come back and try out the other services.

I have so many positive things to say about Salon Cotoure! The salon is tucked away in the old bastille building in downtown Hanford giving it history and charm. The interior has a wonderful, warm ambiance where you are welcome warmly and accommodated with drinks and snacks in a comfortable waiting area. The staff is absolutely awesome, especially Nancy Pereira. She has such a passion and true creative gift. In fact, she helped me plan the makeup and hair for my wedding by ranging up her colleagues and makeup artist to do my mom, mother-​in-​law, and bridal party’s hair and makeup at the salon. Every time I go there it is a true treat because I know I will be going to a wonderful environment where Nancy enhances the beauty in me.

This place SUCKS from a customer service perspective. Can’t say much about their actual spa services because I’ve never had a service there AND WILL NEVER DO SO IN THE FUTURE. My mother (65 years old) purchased a Groupon to Bella Vera for a massage with Erin. She (my mother) knew nothing about Groupon at the time and didn’t realize that this particular Groupon had an expiration date of 6 months. Well, she called very close to the expiration and Erin couldn’t get her in because it was a little too late and she was all booked up (she only works part time and, from the sounds of it, over-​shot the Groupon thing based on her schedule). That’s fine and dandy and completely understandable. But then my mom asks to pay the $$ difference between the Groupon and the full price of the massage but Erin TELLS HER NO. She wouldn’t honor the Groupon $$ amount. That’s not even legal! WTF!!! When I told my mom that she had to at least honor that and allow her to pay the difference, my mom went round and round with Erin at Bella Vera. The next day, the owner of Bella Vera calls my mother directly and tells her to stop harrassing her employees. WHAT NERVE! That broad (this is me being «calm» since I have another name I’d like to call her) didn’t even hear my mom’s side of the story… just made an assumption and accused my mom of «harrassing» her employee. HAHAHAHAHA — anyone who knows my mom knows that’s not the case. It’s probably one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever heard. So now, on top of losing my mom’s business forever, they have lost the business of me (and I’m a spa chick), my sis, my mom’s friends, our family, and anyone who will listen to my mom complain about the place really. What a bunch of friggin’ idiots!!! It’s laughable, really… at least it is since my mom got her $$ back from Groupon!

salon cotoure is such a great place. the atmosphere makes you feel welcomed and cozy. the look and design of the salon reminds me of a fancy place somewhere in hollywood.
my hairstylist there is nancy pereira. she is unlike any stylist ive ever had before. she is so passionate about what she does and is constantly educating herself with more classes to know the latest in the industry and to know the best products and techniques for her customers. i get so excited every time i have an appointment to see her. not only is she the best hair dresser but she is one of the sweetest people i know. my mom is also one of her clients and feels the same way about her. shes so diverse, being able to do my hair and my moms hair and keep both kinds of clients happy.
we live in clovis and we travel all the way to hanford to go see nancy. that is how good she is. you will not be disappointed when you leave the salon. i receive constant compliments on my hair and i always credit it back to miss nancy!

Salon couture is a breath of fresh air. It has a inviting, warm atmosphere. Some nice salons can have a snooty feel but that is not the case here. As far as the performance, it’s exceptional. It’s easy to get a hold of the stylist and if not, their receptionist is always helpful and kind. Nancy Pereira is my stylist there and I couldn’t be happier with her work. Her creativity is truly unique. I constantly get compliments on her work. I look forward to my appointments because I always am welcomed by their friendly staff and leave feeling beautiful.
