My experiences at the Full Moon restaurant have been absolutely outstanding which prompts me to write this review. The quality of the food and the level of service are both consistent and at a very high level. They have a great variety on their menu which never makes me feel like I am stuck with the same selection options. My favorite is the Lobster Cha Cha with lightly fried lobster, asparagus, mango and crab. I have also tried several of their Hibachi and Teriyaki dishes which are also excellent in taste and in presentation. I would highly recommend trying this place, you will not be disappointed. Ask for Maggie, she is the best.

I visited here on a Sunday during lunch hours, it was a nice surprise to see you get 20% off when you spend more than $ 20. The amount of food you got for the price was good, I did think they were a little short on the amount of fish in the center of the rolls. I will visit this place again but only on Sunday for the discount.

I have tried a lot of sushi throughout York and I always come back to full moon. They are friendly. The sushi is always fresh and top notch. Their special rolls are amazing and mouthwatering. Highly recommend!!! Love Maggie!

Friendly staff. Good food. It’s a little pricey for hanover, but that’s a good sign when you are getting sushi 4 hours from the ocean. It’s not the best sushi I’ve ever had, but it’s very good for the area. If you want a hot meal, they have a solid asian menu as well. I recommend the Red Curry Chicken. Oh yeah, it’s BYOB.

Normally I am a big fan of Full Moon. I have been here many times but recently the sushi hasn’t been the greatest. The rolls seem like they are poorly made and fall apart easily. The hibachi is still delicious. A friend and I plus my kids came here for dinner since I received a gift card for Christmas. It was packed, the busiest I ever seen. We waiting for 30 to 45 minutes and with kids that’s nerve racking: p When we finally sat down at our table the staff was very friendly. Drinks were served quickly and meals were ordered. By the time the food arrived the restaurant was starting to thin out. I got a spicy Maki combo(salmon, tuna, & California rolls) to share and a specialty roll for myself. I ordered the shrimp hibachi for my two little ones to share. I’m hoping they can pull it together cause I really did like the sushi in the past.

I have been coming to Full Moon for a few years now, and I have never been disappointed. The staff is always friendly, and they remember you if you’ve been there a few times. The food is always great and they have an excellent selection. This time around I went with a friend and her kids on a Friday evening and it was busy when we arrived. Every table in the place was filled, so we waited around 20 minutes to be seated. I didn’t have a problem with that because it was the first time I’ve ever had to wait and it’s worth it. This place has a great selection of sushi and sushi rolls, including a lot of specialties. I went with a spicy tuna roll and a Spicy Girl roll, which was shrimp tempura topped with spicy tuna, roe and eel sauce. They were both excellent as usual. I also recommend the Lobster Cha-Cha, No Name, and the Britney roll. They are all delicious. I gave them 3 stars only because I still prefer some other area sushi restaurants even though the food here is always good.

Expect to spend some time here. They have a great selection. I love restaurants that are BYOB, and if you bring a bottle of sake, they will warm it for you while you peruse the menu. When you come here often enough, you become family– and Maggie will remember your face whenever you walk through that door. It’s true, the service is a little slow, but it also gives you plenty of time to take in the gorgeous atmosphere. It;s enjoyable, and the food is always well worth the wait. This is always my first choice for sushi in the area.

Eaten here twice and disappointed both times. Tried a few sushi rolls and they were less than tasty. Missing flavor in main dishes and rice as well. Clean, inviting dining area and friendly wait staff. Definitely need to work on flavor. Aki in Hanover has much better food and more flavor.

If you want sushi, this is the place to go. It doesn’t get any better than this. The Lobster Cha Cha is amazing as well as the Black Diamond Roll, and the Seduction Roll. Also, try the fried banana for dessert. We are always treated great when we visit this restaurant. It is much better than the Blue Koi that is down the street.

Awesome service and the sushi was wonderful! We went there for my birthday and they decorated my plate with a lot up glass. Plus we got a free fried banana for my birthday! I would definitely go again no matter how far it is from my home. This is my new favorite sushi spot. Sort of a little hidden gem since its hard to find, but I love it!

Everyone talks about the sushi; which is OK for Hanover, I guess. It’s still quite small pieces for the price(which is high for Hanover and even for other places) and the rest of the food is not even close to authentic Japanese. Both the Yakisoba and the Katsudon(my favorite low-cost great Japanese dish) were terrible and overpriced. I will not be going back here, especially when you compare it to places in Ellicott City or Columbia in Maryland.

The sushi is pretty good but the service is rather lackluster. No one greeted me when I entered the restaurant to sit me at a table, and there wasn’t a sign that said«seat yourself»… can you say awkward? I ordered the«Go Go Lobster» which was a lobster tempura roll with mango, asparagus, spicy salmon wrapped in a soy paper wrap. It was drizzled in a reduced sweet soy sauce. It was pretty tasty and fun to eat, but I couldn’t taste the lobster or mango flavor. Overall, it was a decent meal and I could see myself going again, but I would much rather eat at Blue Koi down the street which has much sleeker décor, excellent service, and better food at the same price.

We were given a gift certificate for this restaurant but took a while to use it. We were so surprised by how good the sushi rolls were we went back a couple of weeks later and weren’t disappointed. The staff is so friendly we will be making this a regular stop on our dinner out rotation.

Great sushi, family-oriented & friendly service, Full Moon is one of those hole-in-the-wall sort of places that always has good food! Somewhat $$ but worth it every time!

I’ve been going here since the place opened and I have never been disappointed. A great thing about the restaurant is that if you’ve been there once, they remember you! Very friendly and accommodating staff, and excellent food — every time. They’re in a shopping center with a huge lot; you can usually get a space right in front.

Hanover isn’t really known for being a food destination — but there are some real finds. Full Moon is one of those! The food is always excellent — classic Japanese dishes such as Udon and Soba, steamed and salted edamame, bento boxes and sushi. Fresh and delicious. As a rule, we tend to gravitate toward the sushi and sashimi offerings — typically take out after a long day, though I have entertained clients in house — and the staff is always accomodating. BYOB

I have only ever eaten at Chinese Restaurants as opposed to Japanese, but on a recommendation I took my mother to the Full Moon for lunch for her birthday. Not familiar with Japanese we played it safe starting with the pork dumplings which were small, but expertly cooked and very flavorful. We split the shrimp and scallop terriyaki which could have been average but the scallops were sweet, not fishy, and the tempura veggies were an excellent compliment. I did not enjoy the miso soup, but am not all that familiar with it so it may just be me. Atmosphere could definitely be improved upon, but the service was great. Very attentive. Overall, I recommend the Full Moon based on this experience. By the way, my mother and I had a second portion of the dumplings. Can’t figure out if they were that good or we were just that hungry.

Honestly, Hanover does not have much to offer when it comes to oriental food, but was I surprise when I was told about Full Moon by my siblings. Sushi in Hanover? That’s a lie! Nope, if you venture over to Baltimore St, you’ll notice this little gem in a stripe mall. The sushi, amazing(can’t compare to Morimoto!)… the service, a little slow at time, but for the most part, for a family-owned restaurant, it delivers. Food here is so good that every time my boyfriend and I take my siblings here, we always spend about $ 150+, and the best part, it’s BYOB.
