I was craving sushi and fruit. Stopping by the local grocery stores, I realized it was going to run me more than $ 20 to get four rolls, seaweed salad and some cut up fruit. So I went to this buffet instead, and enjoyed the same meal for $ 10, including tax and tip. This is a place I’ll come back to on a regular basis. All of the fruit/Sushi were better than supermarket quality at a fraction of the cost. They seem to have a decent selection of hot foods, but none of them looked particularly appealing, with some exceptions. The hibachi portion was a bit misleading, add they just have a standard Mongolian grill.

We stopped at lu for lunch today, and to tell the truth the experience was disgusting… especially given that we were charged more than twelve bucks, each. the buffet food was cold!(I am waiting for the results to start from all the bacterial growth), and everything was swimming in grease. Yuchghth!!! Good luck to everyone else who fell for it, too.

This place is big and their buffet menu has a lot and food is good The only thing I don’t like is that waitress rush you to pay even if you did not finish your food. I think people need a little break after eating before to pay.

So it wasn’t exactly horrible. It was difficult communicating with the staff.(Whether they were not comfortable with their English, or it was too noisy I’ll never know.) it was noisy. Yes there are some health concerns at the grill, but do it if you are there, because its the best meal at the place. They have American food for your kids but my kids are finicky. They ate some things that looked to me like things they would like. They did not like them, though they did eat some. They did not like even one of the deserts, which all escaped with only small bites in them. Did I mention it was noisy. It was noisy. It is large, and it looks romantic, but it is noisy and chaotic. Don’t believe the Italian part of their sign unless you think pizza and fried cheese is Italian enough. I would have been happier with less choices, careful food preparation, and better communication. They charged us extra for non existent lobster probably because it was Christmas. I understand, but it was a crummy trick anyway. We wouldn’t have been so mad if they communicated from the start. I debated with my wife over the tip, I feel you should not have to tip at a buffet. Perhaps I am a Neanderthal. I am not sure. Btw you can byo wine.

Found a piece of plastic in my food approximitely 1 ½ inches long. Could have easily created complications. I showed the manager right away and she laughed and just said ok. Really? Just ok and its funny! I asked what she would be doing about this and said i will take $ 1.50 off your meal??? thats just again unproffessional. Did more research to find during inspection it was discovered that they didnt even use detergent when washing used plates and silverware! Just rinse and repeat? Very unproffessional and unsanitary. We even witnessed a white cat(yes cat) run out THEFRONTDOOROFTHERESTAURANTWHENTHEYWERECLOSINGUP. Just happened to be sitting in my pickup letting it warm up. More investigation needs dont to determine what the cat was doing inside the restaurant in the first place. Cat meow chow? Its downright offensive, and completely unsanitary. Advise to pass this on and get this place shut down!

The food isn’t the best you’ll ever have, but there’s plenty of options and it’s cheap. They usually do a great job of rotating the dishes so that you’re getting the freshest food. Never had an issue with the service either; the hostesses are always super friendly and the waitresses are nice enough for how much you see them. That being said, I’d avoid the hibachi part of the buffet. The chef uses the same utensils and plates for both the raw and cooked food.

I went for lunch, late lunch. I am a vegan, so i was nervous if they would have food for me. They did. I didn’t have to wait to be seated, and the food was hot and pretty good. I saw the selections they were switching out for dinner… probably not a lot of vegan options for dinner, though. Essentially, i liked it.

I’m constantly impressed by Hanover’s restaurants. They kind of take you by surprise. At least it was at first glance at Lu’s.(Their décor is phenomenal) Lets clear something up though. They should remove the Hibachi part from the name and just call it a Chinese restaurant. The Hibachi station is more like a Mongolian BBQ and is tucked away in the back. However the Chinese buffet portion is extensive. Quality of the food? Definitely what you pay for… Around $ 10 for All you can eat? That’ll give you an idea of what to expect. Overall, if I were a hungry, cheap, unaware American, then I would frequent this place like no other. Alas I am not, so I will probably go elsewhere that pleases my taste buds more without inflating me like a balloon. [25 of 100]

I’ll get strait to the point. buffet food is typical crap, and seldom, do I praise the quality of such mass-produced feeding troth food, and this will be no different. PRO: Huge, affordable selection, with more food to choose from than you could possibly sample before the waitress tries to turn the table and a happy torii gate in front which welcomes people in to a very busy place. NEUTRAL: The food quality itself was mediocre at best, though the food was hot. Suppose, people eat it up so fast that it has no time to get cold. The seating was adequate I suppose, but there is still a decent wait to be seated, even for two people. CON: Way too crowed with long waits just to get a seat. So many people, getting to the food is tough, and there’s not much space to move around to get back to the seat. Sushi is small and has an odd flavor, which were in weird non-sensible rolls. The Hibachi sucked. Not bad overall, nothing special. Best to go when the place is not slammed wall to wall with people. Food is at least affordable.
