My experience review is for the Plymouth location. If I could give zero stars, I would. I went in a few months ago to talk to the jeweler about having my wedding band made. My engagement ring is a unique shape, so what I wanted for my band was a little out of the box. I found a picture online of what I wanted, but I did not want to purchase said ring online in case it didn’t fit quite right, and also, I like to support local area businesses. Needless to say, I made a HUGE mistake even attempting this at Nasr. I have never been so offended in my life. When I approached a salesperson and showed him the photo of my ring idea, rather than saying something along the lines of, «oh that’s different» or maybe even«our designs are a little more classic than this,» I got«why would you want do that?» I was a little caught off caught, but explained why and showed him the shape of my engagement ring. He then called over the owner of the store, who I assume is the main jeweler. I went through again what I wanted and why. He then said, «you don’t want that design,» to which I responded with frustration, «yes, I do.» He went on to try to sell me a completely different style of ring, which I had already said I didn’t want because it wasn’t my style. He then asked to see my engagement ring. He was so condescending, and asked where I got it. I told him I didn’t know, because my fiancé got it for me(he got it at another jeweler, but at this point, I wasn’t going to tell him where). He turned his nose up at it and said«it looks like it was made in China.» I could feel my blood start to boil, but I am too nice to be rude(although with his attitude, it would have been warranted). He then proceeded to tell me that he would rather reconstruct my engagement ring and then build me a wedding ring, and again described the wedding band I told him I did NOT want. NO. I love my engagement ring exactly how it is. With that, I took my engagement ring back and left. I sat in my car for a few minutes with smoke nearly coming out of my ears. I wish I had given him a piece of my mind while I was in there, but honestly, I couldn’t even believe what I was hearing as it was happening. I wish my fiancé was with me at the time because he definitely would have been offended by this asshole and given him a few choice words. If other customers have had similar experiences as me, which based on the handful of reviews here, I’m guessing they have, I cannot believe this place is still in business. These people are rude, condescending, arrogant, and just plain horrible. I ended up going to a different jeweler to have my band made and this place was so excited about my unique design and happy to take on a new project. I had told them about an awful experience I had at a different jewelry store. They were appalled, and asked what jeweler. I wasn’t going to say because I am a bigger person than that and I know this is their direct competition, but mentioned it was a jeweler in Plymouth. The jeweler I ended up using guessed it was Nasr and said that it wasn’t the first time he had heard horror stories like mine.

I wish I read these reviews before I had them make my custom rings. I spoke with a jeweler who was great! I showed them the wedding bands that I wanted and we had to make a new band for my engagement ring so they fit together perfectly. They had me come back and meet George and explain exactly what I wanted. But, when I went to pick up my ring it looked nothing like the ring I asked for and when I tried to explain this the owner George just kept talking over me and telling me it’s perfect. I am honestly still trying to figure out how to get this issue resolved because every time I go in he doesn’t listen to what I have to say. It’s really unfortunate since these are my wedding bands and engagement ring! Unfortunately, I must say go somewhere else that will actually listen to what you have to say. I’ll adjust my rating if I can actually get him to listen to me to fix my rings so they are how I actually wanted them to be. I still need to pick up my wedding bands– but haven’t because he did not make them how I asked.

I had gone here to have a replacement ring made(the original getting lost in the mail — unrelated). And was so hopeful and had such a positive experience initially. The woman who helped me was incredibly patient and friendly and told me my ring, which I had to custom order, would be ready in about a week. When I went to pick it up, I saw that they hadn’t taken into account some specific instructions, which I saw her write down and we went over together. It need a couple diamond accent details and satin gold finish vs a shiny gold finish. They sai they could take care of that in about 15 minutes. Very accommodating. I thought I’d be a lifetime customer. Unfortunately, the man doing the work did not follow the specific instructions about where to put the diamond accents and the finishing of the piece itself is not great. I am not a jeweler, so maybe this is just what happens with a ring made from a mold, but I’m pretty sure it’s poor craftsmanship. The band itself is uneven. There are divets and marks in the band, the width of the band is not consistent, among a few other things. I was incredibly disappointed.

Went into the store to drop off a ring and get is re-sized. There was 3 women sitting behind the counter. One of them helped me while the other two stood around and watched. She checked out my ring, said they could re-size it and gave me a price. Wasn’t very friendly at all but I decided to just get it done regardless. She told me it would be ready on Wednesday(This was on a Saturday). Come Wednesday I don’t hear anything so I gave them a call for an update to see how it was going. The woman on the phone was rude, and told me she couldn’t find my ring in the store?! After making me panic, she finally found it and goes«OH! We can’t resize this at all. I can give you a ring snuggie for 10 bucks though.» WTF? So not only had no one even attempted to resize my ring and get it to me on the day they said they would… but it wasn’t even doable for them and my ring just sat in their drawer for 5 days untouched. I drove all the way back there and picked it up. No apologies or sorry for the inconvenience… nothing. Needless to say I’ll go across the hall to Kay’s any day over there. Thanks for wasting my time!!!

THEBUTCHEROFWATCHES!!! He does not deserve any stars at all but minimum is 1 star so i’ll give it just to write the review. My wife took my Bulova watch for a battery swap. I bought the watch in spring/summer 2012. In the process of changing the battery they scratched the hell out of my watch. While my wife argued with them, they said that they didn’t had any way of opening it and that if i buff it the scratches will go away. He tried to buff the watch, but it still looks awful! They are scratches made with a sharp object, which don’t go away with a simple buffing. I got home, my wife showed me the surprise and I went to the shop. They had two stories: 1. they pointed out that they couldn’t have done those heavy scratches on my watch as they were already there when i took the watch in 2. he admitted that«there is no other way of opening the watch» … i just lost all respect for this Jewelry specialist! Now, he tried to argue that the watch is old and asked me when i bought it. When i told him 1−½ years ago, he said how come the battery was dead in the watch. I don’t know when it came from the production line, so that does not serve as an argument. DONOTGOHERE!!! THESEGUYSAREBUTCHERS!

Avoid! AWFUL customer service. My wife was in earlier today, and bought more than $ 200 in Pandora charms. The salesperson, a young-ish blond woman, dumped the charms on the counter — and then literally turned her back and walked away. The salesperson had no interest in wrapping the charms up in bags or boxes — or better still, putting them on the existing charm bracelet. Clearly, the staff has had no training and has no interest in providing any customer service. She shouldn’t be doing this job. There were no other customers in the shop, it wasn’t like the salesperson had anything else to do! The salesperson was so rude that my wife ended up cancelling the purchase. Too bad management doesn’t have a clue.
