Great place to eat every thing was exceptional! If you like true Pit beef or BBQ then Rogers is the best!!!

This place is awesome. This is the best pit beef north of Chaps in Baltimore. The prices are good for the portion size. The people were friendly and guy had he try his latest creations. I suggest the pit beef and pit mac and cheese. If you like shrimp salad it’s the biggest shrimps you will see. It is a must stop if in Hanover…

Smoked beans? Five stars. Smoke flavor, pork chunks, tangy sauce — perfect. I should stop there, but the dude’s attitude sucked the rating down to a one star review. I walk in, start to ask about the meats on the white board, and he interrupts to tell me it’s the first day of the season, his staff didn’t show, the specials are gone, and all he has is pulled pork. So I sympathize and go with that. Two women come in behind me, and suddenly he discovers his personality. Everything is offered, it’s all good, and he goes into explanation of how different menu items are prepared. They settle on pit beef and chicken. WTF???
Final insult: The pulled pork he was pushing was bland and flavorless – no smoke, no flavor, and no sauce, either on the sandwich or available on the side. I quit after three bites.
I wanted to like this place, but I can’t. Pity.

First time visiting here. The bbq was really good overall. The Mac cheese that we got for one of our sides was slightly dry but the meat was exceptionally good, fresh, tender and seasoned well. The owner/​chef was very friendly. Great for picking up to-​go sandwiches because you cannot eat in.

Our family got a party tray of the ham and roast beef for a birthday party. It was so good! I am not even a ham person and I loved the ham. Roast beef was exceptional, flavorful and not overcooked. The sauces they got were awesome too. It is a great reminder to go here on our way back from Hanover Pa when we can. I would recommend the platter for any party, definitely.

Delicious! Everything, PIt beef and Pit pork are so tender and perfectly seasoned. Pulled pork has the best BBQ sauce on and it’s overpowered by it. The owner gave us sample of the shrimp salad which was unreal And also encouraged us to try the homemade Beefaroni which was awesome. What nice people there and they are so helpful. I don’t know why other people are complaining about the prices. I thought this food was worth every penny especially for the amount of food you get. We will definitely be back!

Best Pitt beef I’ve ever had in my life ! The ham and turkey is amazing also. And the pumpkin pie shake is a must try.

This place was delicious and the people were really nice. The meat was moist and tender with lots of flavor. We ordered many of the sides and they were all flavorful.
We have been meaning to eat here for months and finally made it a point to be our dinner. I am so glad we did, we loved it and will be back again. Everything was really fresh.
There are two picnic tables outside, but other than that this is a take out or eat in you car kind of place. They do take credit cards, but there was a minimum charge. Enjoy!

My husband and I tried this place after a friend raved about it. I am NOT a pit beef person — I think it’s usually too dry. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.
I liked that you had your choice of barbecue sauce or not and then if you did get the sauce, you had the choice of sweeter or spicier. I personally LOVED the baked beans. The macaroni and cheese is addicting — pit beef in the mac & cheese — wow!
I do think the service was a little slow, but they were very busy so I feel you just have to be a little patient. My only complaint is that they are a little pricey, so we can’t eat there too often. Our usual bill for two of is around $ 30 and that’s for 2 subs and 2 sides.
I am also disappointed that there is no seating. It is carryout only.

Visiting Rogers was an exercise in disappointment. Both the pit beef and pulled pork were bone dry, pork was absolutely drowned in a mediocre, overly sweet sauce. I can’t emphasize enough how dry the meat was, bordering on inedible. Sandwiches were served on cheap, low-​quality buns (the pit beef sub uses a large hot dog roll). Potatoes in the potato salad were way undercooked and crunchy, and the baked beans were overcooked and mushy, in addition to being submerged in a sauce similar to the pulled pork.
The real kicker was that this meal for two cost $ 27, which is such a blatant robbery that even Henry Hill would have felt guilty. I don’t blame Rogers for cooking their meat to death, I blame myself for stopping and eating it in the first place. Never again.
Head to 3 Hogs BBQ on the other side of town.

Do not miss this pit beef! Tried many things and have not been disappointed yet. Everything is great. They are always adding new items. Great smoke on everything, not overwhelming like some places. Carryout only, but worth the trip.

I stopped at Rogers the other day finally after driving by it back and forth to work. Picked up pit beef subs and the pit mac and cheese. Overall it was good. The meat had excellent flavoring and spices and was not over cooked. The reason I am not giving it five stars is that the service was quite a bit slow and for the area the prices are a bit above average. You do get what you pay for but at nearly 30 dollars for a couple sandwiches and a side for two (probably serves two meals if you’re not super hungry) it’s still a bit more of a once in a while than a regular meal.

Got the pulled pork sandwich numerous times, consistent, good BBQ with the right amount of smokiness. Support them!
