Shaws in Hanover is a great store. The management and staff are helpful with great personalities. I’ve never had issues with the produce like others have said in the 16 years I’ve been going. All departments seem great right now. This is the main store that I shop for my family. Also trader joes.

Roni J sums it up well. I can’t believe how expensive Shaw’s is — this place is a total rip-off. I’ve come home with rotten onions(something I’ve never even needed to worry about for 33 years), not once, but twice from this Shaw’s. Prices are more expensive than Whole Foods, which is where my family has since taken our business. There is nothing about Shaw’s that justifies it’s premium pricing.

The previous reviewer summed it up well! The produce section is like something from a third-world nation. Fruits flies hover around rotten bananas, rotten tomatoes out-number anything edible, and don’t expect to find anything more exotic than a granny-smith apple. The aisles are constantly clogged with stock that needs to be shelved and the staff is indifferent to any of the above issues. Not a fan.

Dirty floors, sticky shopping carts, bleeding disgusting meats, indifferent personnel, so much bad food, so little that’s good for you. Stay away.
