I stopped here with my Husq chain saw and asked if they serviced these. They service Stihl so they weren’t able to help… at least that’s what I thought. The very nice gentleman behind the counter said he would look at mine. It wouldn’t start. Another service center in the local area said I needed the carb rebuilt without even looking at it and it would cost me $ 150(I won’t mention the other place, oh wait, yes I will, it’s Finch Services on Frederick St). Anyhow, this polite man concluded my saw was only flooded. We had it fired up in 3 minutes. He charged me $ 0. As we shook hands and I walked away, I had a renewed sense of faith in mankind. Although rare and few and far between, there are genuinely nice people still around. If I ever need any Stihl equipment, I won’t hesitate to go to Shirk’s.
