The best goddamn Greek restaurant in the south shore. I love their gyros and their chicken is always perfectly seasoned and cooked. Their Strawberry salad is to die for. This is the only reason why I still go to merchants row

Such a great spot for lunch! I’ve picked up salads, soups, wraps and everything has been delicious. Staff is friendly and knowledgable about the menu. It’s a simple café but plenty of options. You won’t be disappointed.

Ah nothing special, from all the good feed back I’d had heard was expecting more. Looking for something different I decided to stopd in. Ordered Aphrodite Tuna Salad(feta & cranberries) was a good size wrap(but for $ 9.50 it should be, right?) I found it very dry, had no mayo or any type of dressing, so I returned to the counter to inquire. Counter lady was not very accommodating and said«we don’t have mayo», so I said«oh it’s rather dry». I was expecting that perhaps she would offer what they DOHAVE(vinaigrette or zaziki sauce) or perhaps offer another choice… nothing just a blank look and nothing else. Paid $ 10 for the sandwich so I ate it. Again not impressed. We’ll see how the 2nd visit pans out, as I always give someone the benefit of the doubt(if at 1st you don’t succeed…)Plus I live less than a mile away.

Cedar café is one of the best hidden gems the south shore has to offer. The food is always made fresh, each day, and is completely authentic. The staff is so friendly and they work very hard to bring satisfaction and quality to the customer. I usually never eat salad but here I get nothing but! I get the Mediterranean salad with a chicken cutlet and it is amazing. Their dressing is very simple and light yet unique and extremely tasty, the chicken is cooked perfectly, and the lettuce and peppers are fresh. It comes with a side of the best tasting hummus I’ve ever had! My family often gets their daily specials which are home-cooked Greek and they are out of this world. You really cannot go wrong with anything on the menu as it is all delicious. This is a rare opportunity to see how food should taste. It is not a cookie-cutter chain, or some highly overrated, over marketed, place that’ll be complete crap after the hype of it opening is over. Cedar never disappoints!

I have been a regular customer for years and have always thought the food is good. However, I will not go back again because of the rude blonde woman who works there.(She can’t possibly be the owner because of the way she treats people). She has always been surly, but I would just get my food and leave. I go in once or twice a month for take-out and usually place my order at about 6:30 on my way home from work. Last night I was stuck in traffic and was pulling into the parking lot at 6:55 when I got a call from her asking me where I was and they were waiting to leave! She went on to «scold» me for always coming in close to 7:00. They close at 7:00. I told her to keep the food and would go somewhere else. Luckily, there are other very good options for Greek food in this area. It is just not worth dealing with someone that nasty!

Love this place. They have the best salads around, and their wraps are delicious. Their daily specials are delicious too(Love the fish, with rice and salad!). Service is usually quick. Reason behind the 4 stars and not 5 is the prices. They are a bit overpriced. A salad will run you in the $ 9 — $ 13 range(depending on whether you add chicken or beef). But everything is a treat here.

OHBOY, where do I begin? The Cedar Café is located in quirky strip mall off Route 53 in Hanover. The café is situated in a little corner of a dark, dreary type of food court at the bottom of a stairway. The café itself is pretty much a tired looking take out counter where you order your food with a few tables scattered around. Be prepared to take out if you dare to try this place. Next, bring your boxing gloves! The stocky, bleached blonde owner(?) who takes your order, is one tough lady. Don’t ask questions about her menu and don’t dare ask for any substitutions! I almost got my head chopped off by her asking for a measly bread substitution. YIKES!!! Pita bread instead of a wrap??? Really ?? I’m greek and I have never eaten a gooey, chewy wrap with my Meditarranean food. I wanted pita bread and she flat out would not give it to me! When I questioned her reasoning for not allowing me to have my beloved pita(looking right at a big stack of it behind the counter) she exploded! Yelling«I know your type, I could tell the minute you walked in here.».blah blah blah! DOUBLEYIKES!!! Then she orders me to sit down while I wait for my food. really??? It was late in afternoon, I was pressed for time and I hadn’t eaten all day. So, I figured out my game plan, get my food and run like hell. I had the falafel«wrap». Tiny, overcooked, mediocre at best. The hummus had a funny«off» taste and I wasn’t sure if it was on its way out or just a subpar recipe. Perhaps it was all due to the sick feeling I had in my stomach for the way the owner bullied and belittled me. I ended up taking a few bites and throwing the whole mess away. A total disappointment for a place I had high hopes for, being so close to home and my love of Mediterranean food. I will never go back there again.

Your response further reflects my point. Just keep arguing. Yes, I licked the plate clean because I was HUNGRY, which is why I stopped for lunch. And again, there wasn’t much on that plate.

This place has tasty wraps and salads, in a food court atmosphere. We stopped here on out way to Boston from the Cape, not far off 3. We both had gyro wraps, light and fresh. Seems like this café is popular with local office workers, and for good cause.

This place is a hidden treasure– I wish they had a more locations!! I It is all about amazing food– every time I go– I try something different because I trust the quality, not something to attempt at most places. My husband has been telling me about the fish on Friday– I was in bliss with my Mediterranean wrap– but I tried it. Unbelievable! I don’t know what they do but it was incredible. I wish only it had a cozy atmosphere-that is the only thing I would want to change!

The food is delicious but the woman behind the counter is very rude and difficult to deal with. I’m considering not going there anymore It’s not worth the aggravation.

I usually give places five stars but it would be hard for me to not give this place five stars. Cedar Café is a great little restaurant out of Hanover. I’ve been going here for about five years now and it’s a big hit with with neighboring towns. I know some girls who make a weekly visit to this place. The prices here aren’t bad at all and try have a great menu. With food from all works of the world. I would recommend the chicken caeser wrap or salad. But if your trying to play it safe, their chicken fingers are very good.

I usually like the food here, but I forgot how they load their salads with Carrots as I am allergic. Today I went for lunch and had a absent minded moment ordering my lunch and forgot to ask no carrots. They brought me my salad and I noticed them covering the top, when I went to the counter the owner was so rude with the way she handled the situation. She said she can’t take it back and said that I forget all the time which is BS, because I hardly ever go there. The customer service was appalling, I paid and was unable to eat my lunch because they would not fix the situation. I can not believe that they are not understanding of a person with severe food allergies especially when the salad did not have carrots listed on what was in the salad! Just because of that, I will not be eating there again.

I LOVE this place! Everything is made so quickly when you order but it never fails to be anything less than delicious. The wraps are my favorite. The grilled chicken has so much flavor and is always cooked just right. The unique menu always offers something for everyone in the group. I personally love the Soulvaki wrap or the Mediterranean one on wheat wraps. The staff is awesome. So friendly every time I go in. It is busier and busier every time I go in so word must be getting out. I recommend this place 100%.

I haven’t been here in a few years. Drove by yesterday and stopped in for a wrap to go. All I have to say is falafel. SOGOOD! I got the Falafel wheat wrap. The most delicious, well seasoned, moist falafel I’ve had since NYC. Lettuce, tomato and some sort of aioli… Oh man. Not to mention it was huge. Got a solid 2 meals out of this monster. Plus it was $ 7 and change. This place was bumpin on a Friday at lunchtime, and for good reason. Tasty Mediterranean food in a random little mall on rt. 53.

I like this place a lot but liked it better when Scott owned it. I think it’s kind of pricey but we usually get quality food for the buck. The social lunch area is probably what we like best about it. Sometimes they have awesome lunch specials, but this past week when we went it was only stuffed peppers(yuck). The specials are usually the best such as some type of special lasagna, etc. Overall, good lunches at almost dinner prices(for the area).

Grilled chicken with salad and asparagus — about $ 10 for lunch. After a Saturday hike, it was the perfect lunch. Check out my picture! The only issue I have is that I had to ask for Feta on my salad. Not sure why they wouldn’t put Feta on it automatically, it’s a Greek place. What Greek place doesn’t put Feta on their salads. No big deal, I asked for it and they did it. I’m sure I got charged extra but that’s ok.
