Been coming to Westies since I was a kid. The pizza is alright, where they shine is their calzones. Especially the Buffalo Chicken and Pepperoni n’ Cheese. Although the prices are a bit high. I still keep coming back and probably always will.

I don’t care if the pizza came with a free motorboat, they don’t accept credit or debit. I would rather drive 2 miles up the road to Themis instead of getting hosed for fees on their grimy ATM.

I really wanted to like this place but the combination of rude service and mediocre food makes it impossible.

I’ve been going the west Hanover for 20 years and back in the day it was a great place with great food, but ever since the owner has let his idiot employees run the place it has turned into an embarrassing display of customer service. they are the rudest people ive ever seen in food service, and if they get an order correct it should be considered a miracle. and they really need to get a clue and accept credit cards and stop the cash only tax evading business. sorry to say that after 20 years i wont be going there ever again.

Chicken Teriyaki dinner is top notch. A must try!!! Everything else I’ve had is good as well.

Would like to give it a 0 rating. The owner is a complete jerk, the food is always overcooked. The store is always 100 degrees and the help sweats all over the food. Never again Jack

Food is not horrible and we’ve eaten it for years, but this last experience prompted me to write a review for the first time. I’ve never had such appalling customer service in my life. My boyfriend, his two roommates and I ordered delivery. My boyfriend and I added ours at the last minute and we called back to do so but they said it’d be no problem. The delivery person came, told us the total was $ 38 and some change. We paid with a good tip, he left and afterwards we realized the chicken finger meal we ordered was missing. We called back and asked to see if it was left in the car or something, which was met rudely with a «no, you didn’t order it,» but they said they’d send us one. Five minutes later we got a CALLBACK from them, asking us what happened and saying we were wrong and they would not fix their mistake. We absolutely ordered it. The woman on the phone, Lisa, said our total was $ 35 dollars for the other three items. Now, not only are we being accused of not knowing what we ordered, but there’s suspicion now that the delivery person told us the wrong total to keep a few bucks off the top for himself. We explained the amount discrepancy and the woman said that’s not true and we’re wrong because we have no receipt. The girl roommate had called back and was promptly hung up on with no promise of a replacement meal. My boyfriend called back and had to use stern words to find out what was going on. «Lisa» said something close to «I don’t know how old you are, but I’m 54 years old and I don’t have time for this,» and refused to help us any further. We are all in our 20s and 30s and was hoping to have a quick meal together after a long work day. This woman and her staff treated us so badly we were absolutely shocked, especially since all of us have worked in the restaurant industry in the past. They may have overcharged us, forgot a meal and then we were told in the most eloquent manner to eff off. We will never do business with this awful place again.

i like west hanover food, its a good stand by. That being said, the lady that works/owns the place is insufferable. I called to place an order, asking for a «cold veggie sub” — all the veggies. pretty basic huh? Not so much. According to her, there is no such thing as a «cold veggie», so I say ok but do you have a sub with just veggies that are cold, not cooked, she says yes that’s a meatless(in a rude, condescending tone). How dare I not know that right lol? I mean its called different things at different places but you would think asking for a sub with just cold veggies is universal, even if that’s not the assigned name at that particular sub shop. In any case, the lady is a bitch plain and simple.

One of the worst sub shops that I’ve been to in the area. The building felt like it was 95 degrees, the help was sweating(not good when you’re making food), and the guy up front was so grumpy, he seemed to set the tone for the rest of the help. The subs aren’t anything special, typical choices like meatball, chicken parm, roast beef, turkey, etc. The will toast the rolls if you like that. The pizza is one of the dullest I’ve ever had. The crust was like cardboard, and the sauce was like it was right out of a can. They also don’t take credit/debit cards, but they have an ATM that will charge you $ 2 to take out $ 20. So go in there with cash! One last note, the grumpy guy must be borderline deaf. I thought it was just me, but after reading the other reviews it looks like they mess up a lot of orders. I had to tell him 3 times what I wanted. When I tried to have a conversation about the place, it was like talking to a brick wall. There are way to many good food options around here for me to settle for West Hanover again.

The pizza was tasty, but the process of ordering was not-so-tasty. Their phone was so quiet and I’m not sure they could hear me so well either! I had to tell them my order three times before they had it right and I wasn’t even sure if it had been formally placed, seeing as they didn’t get a name or number from me. Like I said though, the pizza was very good. Just the right amount of sauce and cheese and the crust was perfectly crispy.

their pizza may be greasy at times but tastes great —(on the local scale… for a quick bite)
