Great rate, still… wish I hadn’t taken it! Got 3 letters, one asked I enroll on line to view my statements and pay bills. You had to «enroll» on line and I like many others tried and it did not work– the reviews on this are so bad I wonder if it ever works! I gave up and called my member advisor but i had to leave a message. Her message gave a number to call if you needed to speak to someone but she spoke so rapidly I had to call back 3 times to catch the number. I called and it was not a valid number. I called the main # for HFCU and a automated system kicked in, nice touch, you have to wait. The person I eventually got to wasn’t able to clarify what 2 of 5 options were on the letter I got from them! I asked she send me the form but I think it won’t be what she said it was. A simple question on Checkless Loan payments= can you execute the payment monthly or is it meant for reoccuring?” I had read their reviews and prior to mid 2014 they were almost all horrible. They seemed to be improving after that, but I think they still are a mess. Website is useless unless you want them to download their security protection– I doubt its a good one, I don’t think they are good at anything! I have done loans with other banks and my credit union in the past and sign the loan, go to their website, register, create a user name and your done. You can pay on line, done. Why is it so hard for them??? Think long and hard before you opt for them!

I bought a vehicle a month ago, the dealership got me a loan with Hanscom and it seemed like a great rate. Little did I know I was getting what I paid for! The payment was set up to me paid on the 8^th, I like the 15^th and was told it wouldn’t be hard to change. Boy were they wrong! For a month now I have been emailing, messaging through my account, and calling. They changed my payment to the 15^th, but STILL withdraw it from my TD Bank account on the same day as before! So really no change has been made. I constantly speak to a different person and nothing gets resolved. I am refinancing with a different bank TODAY. I have given them enough time and chances to fix a SIMPLE problem. I have never been so frustrated with a bank.
UPDATED– I changed my review. After I posted my original review Hanscom contacted me and worked it all out. It’s a shame it had to come to me posting a negative review to solve the problem. But I am thankful it all worked out. I hope our business from here out is smooth and I can can give them a 5 star review in the future. There are a lot of people who like them, so I am confident business from here out will be good. I do think they have quirks to work out for customers like myself who don’t use them for an everyday bank and got their business from needing a car loan at a car dealership.

ZERO ZERO ZERO… they LOST my Car TITLE!!! They sent it to the wrong address! Their system is so antiquated that they require you to mail in any address changes… which I did but somewhere in their 1970’s business process, they screwed up and didn’t enter it into their computer. I am surprise this company even knows what a computer is…
Now this is so important for them to fix this that they sent my the info to get my title in snail mail (not overnighted), so if all goes well I might get my Car title in a few weeks… that’s awesome as I would like to sell my car this weekend but what do they care?
I wish this was my only issue with HFCU. This is how things are with them. Everything is an issue/​problem.
I do want to thank Donna for her help as she has been very nice. Its not the employees… its the decision makers who don’t know how to run a business.

This is the most difficult (oops, sorry, got disconnected)…business to work with, I (um, hello? Dang. Disconnected again). Every time I’ve tried to ask a ques…(please log in again)…tion, I have to jump through multiple hoops. It’s (I just GAVE you my account number. Why do I have to say it again???) so frustrating. There is nothing easy about this system. However, they have great people to work with. Seems like someone in upper management is making rules that are tedious and repetitive and unnecessary and not realizing their impact. Would definitely not do business with them again.

I live in California, and was in the market for a home equity line of credit. Researched credit unions around the entire country since I was unhappy with the rates from local banks. Hanscom had one of the best deals, and as it turns out you can do business with a credit union from another state. Much to my amazement, Hanscom’s customer service to get the loan done was better than any other financial institution I have ever been with. The loan was approved with no costs whatsoever at 2.75%. They sent a notary to the house so we did not have to go out of our way to get a loan from an Air Force Base in Mass. While it took doing research on over 100 banks and credit unions, it was certainly worth the time.
