T-Mobile

My main phone is a note, but my back up phone is a dumb phone from waay back. so when I went in to upgrade my old dumb phone because people couldnt hear my voice talking during phone calls. this is what happened. I am the easiest person to deal with. I keep things very simple. the customer service was awful. I just wanted to check out a few phones and get an upgrade. so after the sales creep tried to hurry me through a bunch of stuff I didnt want, and make me feel inferior because he is so cool cuz he knows everything about the 9 phones they carry. and tried to make me feel like i was wasting my time even browsing the store. I told him I would look at the few phones they had in-​store and see how they compared. i did not tell him I had a phone budget up to $ 1000. the sales guy was dead set on me getting a cheap phone. sooo as I was looking at the phones the guy creepily stood rite behind me… really uncomfortable and awkwardly. I had to tell him to give me a few moments on my own… anyways, found a phone that worked for me. Another thing was when I was getting checked out, they still tried to sale me more crap I didnt want through the guise of «this is only $ 1 a month. really started to get annoying because I had cash and wanted to pay in full on the spot. and to top it off the creepy sales guys, added some service called jump to my account wich I definitely had zero interest in. so I saw the jump charge to my account a month later and called 1800tmobile and they took the charge off my bill. the customer service at this location is really making me question why I even still use tmobile. their reception blows, and they also charge you for things you didnt ask for. dont make the same mistake I did by shopping here.

I’m giving them an extra star because they gave me a cool phone number a few years ago
Take my advice:
Call their national call center first before you try to go into a physical location like this one to solve your issues
if they mess up my phone one time, I come back the next year, tell them what happened and if they can do it again without messing it up… then they will keep me there for about two hours and still messed up my phone which takes me hours to redo my contact list and organize my messed up files
I wonder if they throw these kids out on the floor right away without any training and there never seems to be a manager there and I’ve seen these kids goof off and treat me very disrespectfully
I was so exhausted one time, In their defense, they pulled out an old folding chair from the back for me to sit on while I waited…
But hey, their prices are great if you can keep up with the fact that they change everything they do about every year or two

Don’t go here if you actually want customer service. Save your time and drive a couple extra blocks to the Clackamas Town Center T-​Mobile.
My mom recently had a problem with her phone, so she drove over to this location because it’s where she had originally bought her phone. It being a new phone, she wasn’t sure what was wrong with it. She noticed it wasn’t turning on after work, she went home and tried to charge it for a little bit and it still wasn’t doing anything, so she went to the store. The guy there told her he can’t help her because it’s 8:00pm, they close at 8:00pm, and his computer was already turned off. He told her to go to the Clackamas Town Center.
So my mom went there, during the beginning of the holiday season when it’s really fun to try to park at the mall, and at that store, they opened the back of her phone, popped out the battery, popped it back in, and the phone was fine. My mom didn’t know how to pop out the batter because the back was all one piece (yeah, newer phones are too slick for older people), but that’s ALL it took. So since this guy’s computer was down, he couldn’t take the battery out and put it back in for her.
Considering popping out the battery is the easiest/​oldest trick in the book to reset a phone and fix any minor glitches, the guy at this store should’ve tried this before sending my mom off. He also shouldn’t have lied and said, «I can’t help you, my computer is off» since he definitely could’ve helped her, he just didn’t want to since he wanted to leave. I mean, I know this is typical T-​Mobile service to say, «Meh, not my problem,» (hence why I have AT&T), but come on.
Anyways, this is my mom’s story and experience with this location. She had just told me last night, so I can’t say when exactly this happened (other than in this past week). And we all know I like to name drop when it comes to bad customer service, so this guy is lucky to say the least.
