Food was good, but entrance was weird. The menus were tight by the register, but there was a long line in front of the register, so we couldn’t see a menu until it was almost time to order. Kinda weird.

Wonderful staff, very patient with our indecision. My date ordered the big breakfast with eggs, bacon, hash browns, toast and grits. He said that all was great. I had the hot Reuben and a salad. The Reuben could have used a little more stuffing but was still delicious. Salad was fresh and wonderful. Coffee was great.

Really good food. I ordered the mufulleta scramble and it was great. The only reason I’m knocking off a star is because the ordering process was a bit confusing. You walk in and order at the counter, they give you a number and you seat yourself. This isn’t bad but you have to wait for your drinks before you sit and they took way too long to make my coffee. Also when paying it prompts you to tip 15% or more. For what? I’m ordering at a counter and waiting for my drink. You only bring the food. That is not worth 15% of the check.

We enjoy this breakfast spot whenever we are visiting my son. Everything has always been good but all of our favorite is always the bacon. Service is good. We will keep coming back.

I’ve been meaning to update this review. The business must be under new management and for the better! Service is exceptional and the food makes for one of the best breakfast joints in NOLA. Quality ingredients and the bacon is second to none! Finally!

Lovely breakfast house. Had the crawfish scramble(omelette) tasty and the biscuit was really yummy. My friends did not like the pancakes. Thought is too gooooooie. They both love the scramble. Great owner and great hospitality.

Lucky to me when local friend took around the town. He told me should try out this place before leaving. I really like this place for now. Great service and atmosphere. Their coffee so tasty. I will come back for next time.

I love supporting local coffee shops. This place is a great morning spot if you lean more on the sweet side of coffee. The prices are also very reasonable. Would come again.

Although the outside of this café doesn’t look good, it’s totally different from inside! It’s a quiet, clean place. The food is fresh and hot.

While visiting New Orleans, this restaurant is always a must. My family enjoyed a delicious breakfast here yesterday. Was greeted with a warm southern welcome, our family ordered cheese grits, bacon, biscuits and pancakes. Although the restaurant was serving a busy Saturday morning, our food was served hot and quickly .the cheese grits are creamy, biscuits are hot with the perfect consistency and the pancakes are the best! Would probably want to eat here every morning if we lived in Nola!!!

Such a wonderful locally owned business with kind and generous owners and employees. It get’s busy during lunch time and with good reason. I order through them personally and catering though work and have never been disappointed.

Best grits I have ever eaten!!! The eggs aren’t bad, but the bacon is hit or miss. A little pricey but I will return for the grits.

Such a delightful find! We were on our way out of NOLA in search of a quick brunchy lunch, when a Google Maps search for a coffee shop produced Café Latte Da as a top hit. While one shouldn’t judge a café by its name, the punster in me couldn’t resist this coy, playful name. I’m so glad for it, too! The service was wonderful: smiley patience as two out of town travelers debated too laboriously over the breakfast menu. Gabby, our behind-the-counter server, was helpful in advising us on what to order. Food came out quickly, and in copious portions– enough that some came with us in carry out containers. Order at the counter and have it delivered to your table. Or just wait and carry it to go. We came right at noon but managed to beat the short spurt of a lunch-hour rush that came as we were already eating. If you’re looking for a charming place to grab a quick and tasty lunch served by friendly staff and a great-named establishment, you won’t do wrong here.

Not one of the four people working behind the counter greeted us or smiled. Tried to talk to a young blonde about their king cakes for sale and no response. The cashier took our order like a robot. No smile or comments when she brought our food. What is going on behind the scenes? Food was really good. Later an older man from the kitchen with dark hair and an apron asked if we wanted a coffee refill.

First off, this place serves breakfast all day — until it closes which is usually 4 pm. I came here with a couple of co-workers and everyone got something different — burgers, salad, breakfast, quesadilla, etc. We had seven people and had a hard time finding a table for all of us. There were two large tables that could fit 7 people but they were already taken with smaller parties. We ended up sitting at a long-ish skinny table that was meant for 6 people, but everything worked out. I got the California Salad with Chicken($ 10.95) which included artichoke hearts, hearts of palm, mushrooms, sprouts, tomatoes & blue cheese crumbles. When I first got the salad it looked very yellow(artichokes/sprouts/hearts of palms) but when I mixed up the salad it started looking more appetizing. The first few bites of the salad were great and everyone’s food looked yummy, but then I took a bite of some of the chicken on my plate and it was just nasty. I would go back here but just avoid the chicken… maybe get a burger or breakfast: D

As with so many other reviewers I had business in the area(or to be precise, my daughter did, at her dance studio) and stopped for cup of coffee and a small treat. The coffee was hot, fresh, and strong. I chose the turtle, as in McKenzie’s turtle, as my treat. Did I say small? Oh well… unlike the half-dollar size McKenzie’s turtles from long past, this turtle was three inches across with a fist-sized dollop of chocolate on top. My only issue was that the McKenzie’s small turtle had the right«nut-to-mass» ratio. Here, the nut is more of a garnish, leaving one with too many nut-less bites. Most of the other patrons were ordering breakfast mostly plates with eggs in various forms and breakfast sandwiches. These looked good, but I have no direct experience with them.
