I’m with the first guy’s vote on this place here — great ribs and dont let its location or its décor run ya off. And its very reasonibly priced. you can get a 4 ribs 2 sides dinner out the door for under 10 bucks! And the ribs are yummy. LOTS of meat, sauce thats just a wee bit tangy but nothing you cant handle. when you are getting off the 110 heading west back home — make a right hand turn into where the ELPOLLOCHICKEN is at normandie. And then go to almost the last store at the east end of the strip mall. From the outside you might think«i’ll pass» — but wait! you are forgetting something — BBQRIBS is at its roots, simple food. There aint no fung shei going on here baby. its soul food BBQ in its original form. when you are down in the REAL south, this is EXACTLY what the real BBQ joints look like. save your marketing hype expectations for brentwood They close at 9pm and DJ the owner says that means they are taking ORDERS til 9pm. Aint none of that we aint taking no more orders at 830 cuz we closing at 9 like you will hear from the crazy chicken place.

This little joint is tucked in amongst Korean Video stores and Mexican fast food groceries all behind an El Pollo Loco. Parking is sometimes a challenge and the neighborhood can be a bit dodgy. That said… The ribs are delicious! Tons of meat on the bone and a sauce to die for. I usually prefer dry rubs on my ribs but this sauce is something special. I always end up mopping it up with the slice of wonderbread that comes with your meal. The sides are average, not great, but not bad. I prefer the yams. But I don’t think you will be disappointed in the ribs which is what this place is all about. Don’t let the interior décor(or lack of) scare you off either, the guy who runs the place isn’t the most talkative but he is polite and is busy making tasty ribs, not chatting it up with passersby. They do deliver but you have to live pretty dang close and give him directions. Just stop by, the off ramp off the 111FWY is PCH and it’s not far.
