I have been coming here for 5 years the owner knows me by name. I like that they make everything on the spot as you order and the prices are amazing the food is very tasty ! My favorite is shrimp fried rice. But everything I order is really good. I wait in my car for my order to be made and owner brings it out to my car. she always makes me feel special!

I have been a regular here since 2000 – 2001, I could never thank the owners enough for the olive branch they extended me and my daughter way back when, but they have mine and my families absolute loyalty! great food, most times made to order, large helpings((the shrimp used, in their dishes — they are not those microscopic size shrimp))

Yasssssss! Stopped by to give the queen a shit and so glad I did. Like she said«best Chinese food in the southbay». I got the beef chow mein and it was so good and unlike these other dried out noodles these were fresh and juicy. Also got Orange chicken and Kung pao chicken which were really great. I’ll be coming back for sure! At first I thought the lady was a little rude but it was just a miscommunication. She was friendly and nice once I realized it.

My boyfriend has been ordering food from here for years. I was introduced to this place about 6 months ago and I just love their food. We order the same thing every time because it’s perfect! The combination friend rice, orange chicken and honey walnut shrimp. Everything is always delicious. Not greasy, full of flavor and huge portions. That’s enough food for 4 people. The lady who answers the phone is adorable. She calls everyone«baby» she’s funny and you can tell she likes her customers. She wants to get to know you. I’m not sure why people think she’s mean or of the other reviews are referring to someone else. We almost always get it delivered. The food arrives quickly and it’s hot and fresh! You can’t go wrong with this place!

Love this place. Prices are reasonable and things are made to order, except for items from the steam table of course. Portion sizes are generous and service is fast.

Great food, good quality, great prices, large servings, great service. The location and outside store appearance are not very inviting, but the good food brought me back several times. Great takeout restaurant also. If you want good food and not much ambience try it. You will like it.

I hadn’t eaten here in a long time ago I thought I would go back. I ordered a meat dish and I wasn’t even sure it was meat. Cartilage was mixed in, large chunks of something. If I am paying $ 7 – 8 get some quality meat. 1 star because the staff was nice(I don’t like giving bad reviews either but this business deserves it).

I wish that I could give this place zero stars, but there was a nice lady who was somewhat helpful. We went there at 815, they close at 930, and found that we only had 4 choices of food?! Not to mention the shit looked dry as hell! There was a cook to order menu so we thought ‘ok, that’s why there isn’t shit out here to choose from’. We asked for an order of shrimp fried rice, and here comes the rudest fucking bitch I’ve ever encountered at any takeout place! I’ve read the reviews about her, but didn’t think she would be THATFUCKINGRUDE! She yelled at us and said it was near closing, the kitchen is closed! Bitch, it was 8 fucking 15! Learn some fucking customer service skills bitch! We literally said fuck this and opted for Panda across the street… will NOT be coming back to this shit hole.

This place was not the best quality of food. It’s sort of the place you go after a heavy night of drinking and you have a really bad hangover. My co-worker told me about this place and mentioned how they delivered. We work in Redondo Beach and seeing as my co-worker frequents this place often the owner was nice enough to make an exception to drive all the way to Redondo. I ordered the orange flavored chicken and beef chow fun… it came with fried rice and an egg roll. The food was hot(I was worried it’d get cold being so far of a drive) and the portions were huge! The orange chicken was hard as a rock(I even broke my plastic fork trying to eat it), the sauce was congealed and didn’t really coat the chicken and the fried rice was very bland. The beef chow fun looked amazing until I tried the beef and it was super chewy. The noodles were ok but I could only eat a couple bites. I was excited to try the egg rolls as my co-worked RAVED how she’s super picky and only eats them from here(besides, who doesn’t love a good egg roll, right?) … I bit into it and was so disgusted. The cabbage tasted like it had been sitting in a hot dumpster for a week and looked yellow and rotten. I immediately spit it out. Probably the worst $ 15 bucks I’ve ever spent. I will not come back!

Still the best Chinese food! We’re addicted to the Salt/Pepper Shrimp, Beef Chow Fun, Garlic Fish and the Shrimp Fried rice is bomb! Forget about the weird customer service. … trust me the food is worth it!

Horrible service. Horrible food. Dry and salty. Like it was old food and they just threw salt on it. Its cheap but not worth it.

We would go hear when the whole family is home and we want some thing comforting that would feed enough mouths. However, through my careful scientific observation I’ve concluded that my stomach does not agree with this place. Unfortunate, as it tastes alright usually. Dragon and Phoenix, eggplant in garlic sauce, and black pepper beef have been the choices and been the best in flavor. It’s two stars because a place should not make me feel that way after having it, but the service and flavor is good.

Read all the stories about the mean owner and wasn’t sure she and I would get along but decided to give it a shot anyway. She was fine, either she got wind of her bad rep and has changed her evil ways or she was putting on a good front, either way I’ll take it. Food is displayed and served very much like a Panda Express type set up. Ordered a small Kung pao chicken, small noodles, and small Dr. Pepper. It was only $ 6! Food tasted good, nothing exceptional here just solid Chinese grub quick and ready when you need some.

Pros: food was fresh tasting and not overcooked with large portions. Cons: Service can be good or horrible. Items are definitely over seasoned and Salty. I had a very upset stomach and constant bathroom breaks afterwards :-(

I decided to go there for lunch. The place was empty, with only one couple eating lunch. When I walked in, the lady behind the counter did not say hello or welcomed me or even acknowledged me, instead she started stirring food. After I decided what I wanted, I looked up to tell the lady my order, but she simply walked to the other end of the counter and stood in front of the cash register and just looked at me. At this point I had enough and walked out.

I went to Rice Queen tonight craving a heaping serving of my all time favorite wor wonton soup. I was the only customer in the restaurant but I had to walk back and forth a few times before the middle-aged Asian woman behind the counter would acknowledge my presence. Finally she did and I requested a wor wonton soup which she replied what size– half or full. Since this was my first visit and container sizes weren’t readily in view I asked her what’s the difference in sizes. She got an attitude with me and said look at number 33 on the menu. Now I clearly know what wonton soup looks like and I relatively understand half is smaller than a full order. But I still was unclear as to the sizes or number of ounces each size consisted of. Was a small a cup or bowl size? I had no idea! So I reply with an attitude how much is half compared to a large order? She then looked at me like I was crazy and started walking towards the hidden containers. At this point I looked at the $ 20 dollar bill in my hand and asked myself do I really want to give someone who obviously has such an unreasonably bad attitude and total lack of respect for me, my money, or patronage. The answer was a strong and resounding hell to the nah, nah, nah. So I told her on second thought forget it and walked right out the door. So, unfortunately I have no idea how the food is at Rice Queen, but upon first glance it seems like the food might be pretty good. But I’ll be damned if I ever return to this place based on the fact courteous friendly customer service is greatly missing here!!!
