We ate there Saturday and was completely satisfied. The service was great with good attitude. Food was great. I had chimichanga and she had quesadillas. All went well. Price was reasonable.

Having a hard time trying to explain this place. Was sure I was going to a typical Mexican restaurant that has the same food as the rest which is good food and easy to please the 5 kids on the team with me. In an old building that was obviously something like an old chain restaurant at one time that had closed up. Not beautiful surroundings but really functional. I ate a Chicken dish with a green chile sauce on top with rice and beans. IT was cooked perfectly and really hit the spot. One of the team got a burrito and another got the chimichanga. They were both huge and the kids said they were great. Basically all the kids like their food and that goes a long way in making it better for me. So, next time I need a good place on my way North or South near Hardeeville I will be back. The most interesting thing at the restaurant was that the menu was really Mexitalian. Some Mexican and some Italian. And the owner/manager was a very accommodating guy who checked on everyone regularly and obviously not Latino. I think he was the Italian Connection. Think I would like to try some of the Italian options including the Pizza here but my mind was made up before I got there. So 4 stars for the Mexican options. Will do Italian on next visit.

Driving down 95 is hard on the stomach, and like other Unilocalers, we were looking for actual food. We found it at Mi Tierrita. I admit that my expectations were not very high, but the place is very good. Not authentic Mexican good, but Mexican-for-Americans(Sour cream instead of queso, etc.) good. We were greeted at the door and seated quickly. Some of the reviews indicated that the surroundings are a bit down-at-the-heel, but that was not our impression at all. The tables were clean and the service was efficient. Actually, they seemed very concerned about out experience. We had three separate people ask us if things were all all right — some of them more than once. It became a bit of a joke. When seated we were given good warm chips and salsa. The salsa was a lot better after a hit of the abrol salsa in a squirt bottle on our table. We had the Enchiladas Mexicanas(with steak) and the Camarones Mexicanas. The enchiladas were advertised as spicy and they certainly were. The steak had been marinated(as for fajitas) and the sauces were complex and tasty. The refritos were pretty standard and the rice was fluffly and very nicely done. The camarones were sautéed in a light tomato and jalapeño sauce with onion and plenty of garlic. They were not stingy with the shrimp; this dish was very good. All in all a good experience with good food in a pleasant restaurant. We’ll be back next time we’re passing through.
