I needed shooting gloves, so I googled where I could find them in my area. Dick’s sporting goods came up, so I drove to the next town to get them. When I got there, I started looking for them in the gun section, but didn’t see them. I stopped a salesman and I was told that shooting gloves are a «seasonal» item! I asked how shooting gloves could possibly be a seasonal item when people shoot year round. The salesman told me that room had to be made for swimming supplies! Mind you the gloves are a small sized item and I can’t imagine them being in the way of water wings and floaties! I wasted my time, gas and energy to go all the way to Dick’s, very appropriate name apparently! I went home and ordered them online from Amazon and had them in 2 days! I will never darken Dick’s doors again!

There isn’t many places to go for sporting goods, Academy & Dicks is all we have in the area. While I do like Academy better due to their prices, I like coming here too. They have more choices to choose from, the staff is always friendly & helpful. Overall I really do think Dick’s quality supercedes Academy’s goods; just my opinion. But I’m loyal to Academy due to their lower prices. So basically you can’t go wrong with Dicks. Check them out if you’re in the neighborhood.
