This is the perfect local pizza spot in town! They have clean and friendly service(sometimes a bit slow– but if you know that going in it helps). I’ve tried a few of their non-pizza dishes and was not too impressed. But it’s a pizza shop, and the pizza is great, so get the pizza! And cannoli. Mmmmm, cannoli…

Ordered a 3 topping pizza, it was better than a chain pizza, yet somehow still cheaper than from a chain. Good cheese, good meats, good crust. Like many people who live in Harlem, I’ve seen many restraunts open, then shortly fail in this exact location. Armando’s had lasted longer than any other so far and with food this good, and prices this reasonable, it is no wonder. I like to order ahead and get a pizza to pick up on the way home.

This place is hit or miss. I’ve eaten here several times over the last 5 – 6 months. Sometimes you get your food, sometimes you don’t. The food is okay, when you actually get it. There is a second location in Thomson, GA. I have found it to be a better place as far as food and most importantly service.

My husband and I ordered pasta dishes. I had the penne eggplant parmigiana(it had a different name on the menu) and my husband had the baked cheese ravioli. Both orders came with a house salad and garlic bread. I gave Armando’s five stars because it was clean, friendly, and the pasta dishes actually tasted like those I had at family-owned Italian restaurants in New Jersey. I think that’s worth five stars. Out next stop here will be for the pizza. I’m looking forward to it.

Excellent take on Italian food. Something quick for a large family? The 24″ pizza will feed a family of 6 easily. My personal favorite is «The Hitman», a stromboli with ham, purple onion, jalapeño peppers, and cheese. Also one of the few places in Harlem where you can a cold beer.
