Amazing food. Hard to get this kind of home cooked meal anywhere these days. Coffee was good, service was great. I showed up at 8 and there was only one person working. He was cooking and serving all at the same time. Very friendly. Around 8:30 help arrived as things started to pick up. Wish I had found this place last week.

My wife and I came for Sunday breakfast. We were pleasantly surprised to find ample seating with no wait. The breakfast menu is extensive and cheap. The eggs Benedict were particularly good. This is so much better than waiting for an hour to get seated at the Cracker Barrel.

This place lives up to its name! Their coffee is wonderful and their atmosphere provides a nice little spot to meet with friends. Although I have had other dishes there, I prefer their biscuits and gravy. The half order is more like a full order (even though it consists of only half a biscuit) and it comes with one or two eggs on the side… and the sausage gravy is delicious. I think it’s the best I’ve had anywhere…

3.5 stars. Biscuits and gravy were good. Hash browns were mushy. The menu was Nice for being in south Texas. Belgian waffles and various pancakes.

A great place to get breakfast. Lots of retirees and regulars eat here and it’s always very full on the weekends. As always in south Texas the prices are very reasonable.
Highly recommended.
