If you’re like me you might feel the need to flee the hustle and bustle of the city/burbs every now and again. If you’re looking for a new spot to seek refuge you should definitely check out this SE’tern MN B&B in Harmony, MN. Maybe you’ve been burned before when clicking through pics of other B&B’s online only to find they don’t quite measure up in real life. When you see the pics of the Asahi Loft you can be assured there is no foul play photography magic going on here. The loft really is that amazingly beautiful and peaceful looking in real life. No need to temper your expectations. We were stunned by the details in this place. From the custom locally made cabinets that feature antique Japanese wooden pieces to the yukatas(Japanese bathrobes) to lounge around in after taking a long soak in the relaxing air bath; this place has it all. Did I mention the full kitchen in case you never want to leave(entirely possible) to go explore Harmony and the surrounding attractions? There are a couple caves around(Mystery and Niagara) to see and if you didn’t already know, Harmony is known for it’s dense population of Amish family farms. You can go on a guided tour where you stare out the window at the Amish peeps or you can just do like us and drive around the country roads and easily see the horse and buggies rolling down the dirt roads. I should also mention, since this is Unilocal and most Unilocalers are foodies, that there is an amazing restaurant in Harmony called QUARTER/quarter that you’ll probably want to check out. If you’re missing some fine city fare in the small town head over there and you can get your fix. What else? Did I mention this place is a great winter get away? Fireplace and wifi or a book if you’re old school and you’ll be in a Zen state in no time. This place is truly a hidden gem.
