Red Rooster Cafe

Stopped at this lovely little place by chance on a road trip, but now it will be the reason we insist on traveling this route again! Fresh ingredients, to-​die-​for sweet tea and fried okra and a super friendly staff! I highly recommend this restaurant.

The items listed under the menu tab are not ours at the Red Rooster Café located in Harper, Kansas. I will try to change that and add ours. Until then enjoy the awesome home cooked food with a southern flare at the best little café ever.

Pretty nice little place I stumbled upon while working in south central Ks. Stopped in for breakfast one morning with a co-​worker. The breakfast menu contained the usual small town Café fare, so I opted for a ham and cheese omelette with toast and a blueberry waffle on the side (I was really hungry). The food arrived quickly and was really quite good, some of the best I’ve had recently. The portions were quite a bit larger than I would’ve expected which was a plus. The interior of this little café appears to be very recently renovated with a nice décor, and very clean. Waitress was super friendly and attentive. Overall, a great breakfast and I will be back for sure. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the cook forgot to make the waffle with the rest of my order, ended up taking it to go.
