Good setting, decent menu items, but I wasn’t sure that a single thing I ate was fresh. Everything seemed frozen, and lathered with what I call«cover-up» sauces. While it’s not bad, for a sit down place I expected more. Everything seemed like bar food, with some eye candy on the menu like: artichoke, mushrooms, steak, etc. just to rectify the slightly higher price. We did enjoy the crab bites. But it would take several orders to fill up on that. I recommend this for an after hike sit down on the patio kind of spot. Don’t worry about stepping in sweaty or gross, but don’t expect to be blown away by the food. The view seemed to be my favorite part, but it kinda just overlooks the train station. Kid friendly. Anyways, it could use some improvements. Not the kind of place to make a drive for.

This is an ok spot to stop for a break and some food after a long day of hiking in beautiful Harpers Ferry. The service is decent and the food is a bit over priced — but that can be expected in this little tourist town. I should note that the chefs special sandwich was a unique blend of flavors — mushrooms, spinach, pesto, and big pieces of mozzarella — for this vegetarian sandwich, so I will give them that! Overall, a decent spot to stop for some sandwiches when visiting this historic town.

Edit: had to knock off some stars. Food made one member sick to the point of throwing up all night. And an upset tummy for another. Went to eat with In-laws and a 2 year old. All the food was amazing. We ended up getting a 2nd portion of the crab puff appetizers cu they were so fantastic. All meals were more than enough and the outdoor seating was awesome. Will go again for sure!

I was visiting the area after wrapping up a few appointments and driving along the road, I noticed the cute outdoor seating at this restaurant so I decided to check it out. I had the chicken Caesar wrap which was very good but my favorite part was the view! I loved being able to sit outside on an absolutely gorgeous day and admire the scenery of my beautiful state. Definitely worth checking out.

Delicious!!! I got the falafel wrap and it was sooo good!!! We got the crab fluffs as an appetizer and they were also so good! Coming from Maryland we weren’t sure if we would like the crab but it was delicious! They have a cute atmosphere with outdoor seating and excellent service!

After a bike ride on the C&O canal we stopped in for a quick dinner. Our Greek salads were excellent, service was quick and pleasant, the view of the mountains are wonderful.

An honest 3-star place. The real attraction is the view, not the food. The menu is stuff that’s familiar, easy to execute, and quick on delivery. There are some drawbacks to all this simplicity – there’s no incentive to do anything exceptional and there are shortcuts like fries that clearly get doused in the same fat as the fish and the same seasoned fries turning up in the«fish and chips» as with things that come with normal fries. The service is ok. The general idea here is that the view is memorable but the food really isn’t, which is fine when you consider how easily a simple menu gets executed really easily.

Stopped in here while touring Harper’s Ferry. Food was quite good, service was exceptional. Very good value for the price. Funky atmosphere…

Wonderful view and wonderful food. My boyfriend got the Chef’s Special and I got a falafel wrap. It was a beautiful day so we sat on the patio. The food is a little pricey but it makes sense because you’re also paying for the atmosphere and the experience. I’m only giving 4 stars because it’s not so good that I was blown away by the food nor will make the 1 hour drive to Harper’s Ferry just to eat there again. In fact, next time I visit I will definitely try another restaurant just to see what’s in the area. But I definitely recommend giving this place a shot.

This business had a very bad fire affecting what appears to be all three stories. It is closed for renovation. As of today(November 3, 2015) it appears as if it will be a LONG time before it is reopened.

Excellent place! Nice atmosphere, plenty of deck seating with a great view. We had the Reuben and Turkey sandwiches, which were excellent! All the good being brought out looked amazing. Local brews and a couple regulars like bud light, available in bottles. Fyi — No draft beer here. Staff was friendly, we were seated promptly, and didn’t have to wait for any unreasonable about of time for anything.

Great place! We were a party of 12 and seated immediately on a busy Saturday afternoon. Orders were taken by the super friendly and efficient, waitress — Tabby! Food was fresh, tasty and came out quickly. Highly recommended!

Based on reviews we decided to stop for an early lunch. they open at 11:30ish but they were open by 11:40. You walk intoo the place and it’s like walking back in time. We decided to eat inside as the temp was in the 90’s but the deck looked great. Although not outstanding the Reuben, Roast beef sandwich, beer menu, and service earned it 4 stars. There were other tempting options in Harpers Ferry but we are glad that we chose this one first. Cheers!

visited on july 24. the interior reminded me of a hunting lodge. so we sat on the backyard deck, which was much nicer. i wasn’t expecting much in terms of food, but the pastrami sandwich was surprisingly good, and the portions were huge. so big in fact that our entire lunch party could only eat half of what we ordered and we brought the rest home for dinner. would definitely dine here again.

This place is AWESOME. We came really late on a Sunday, at 8:40– they close at 9 but they were very welcoming and sat us outside on the patio. Oh my god, the view is breathtaking. Our waitress was very sweet, she recommended the shrimp appetizer which was delicious. I got the chef special sandwich with fries and a salad, my husband got the steak sandwich with fries and a salad. I thought everything was just wonderful, my husband thought that the steak sandwich was a little salty, but he is sensitive to salt and I did not agree. Everything was reasonably priced and the portions were way to large to finish there. I peeked over at the table next to me, looked like they all ordered pasta dishes which looked great. I would recommend this place even if it’s a busy Sunday and you have a wait, it is worth it!

I have no idea how the food is because no one bothered to seat us AND they were so rude and the wait so long to get a table that we left. Granted it was a crowded weekend but one would think a restaurant would staff up on a lovely summer Saturday afternoon. We wandered in because the setting was lovely. We were told to wait for a table by one of the waiters and we waited and waited and waited. After about 15 minutes with a long line behind us and all patiently waiting, my brother asked a waitress about how long the wait was.(no true hostess was working) We appeared to bother the princess… err rather the waitress… because she was so rude in telling us we had to just wait right there and couldn’t be bothered. OMG! Seriously… NO thanks! We are happy to wait but there’s no food cheap enough or good enough where rudeness is acceptable to 3 very nice people. We left and went to a lovely pub down the way and had wonderful food on the patio with a nice waiter!

Well, Harper’s Ferry is a wonderful historical town, but figuring out where to eat in a town where Verizon phones basically don’t have data(no Unilocal?,yikes!!). Therefore, in the blind, we ventured into Potomac Grille. We went vegetarian. The veggie wrap was okay, but nothing to exciting. The chefs special vegetarian sandwich was amazing, fantastic flavors, delicious portabella mushroom, loved it! As far as the experience, we loved the very nice patio with a very nice view. They actually had WiFi, which was very helpful so I could draft this review! But, the slow and indifferent service was a bit of a turnoff. Still, not a bad bet for basic american fare.

They get two stars for the patio and fries, nothing else was all that impressive. This is a tourist place so they don’t have to have excellent food to keep people coming in. Also, the night we were there they were short staffed(at 6:30) because they sent two servers home as they had previously been slow. That’s a bad decision before 6:30 on a beautiful day when people are likely to eat later. Surprisingly though the service was pretty timely. The annoying thing was hearing this explanation given to every table. It just reminded me over and over that someone dropped the ball and I was going to be paying the price for it. I think the better thing to do would be to just get drinks right away, say we’re a bit busy tonight so just enjoy the view and you’re cold drink and know we will get you great food as fast as we can. Ok, this is customer relations school, I’ll stop now. Back to the food, we got the falafel(don’t recommend) and the burger(do recommend). The burger was just ok but comes with delicious fries, the best item we had here.

My friends and I enjoyed a leisurely dinner on the outdoor patio at Potomac Grille. The view is spectacular, especially during sunset. The only downside was the presence of some bugs, but that is nature’s fault, not the restaurant’s :) Our server was very friendly. As a Jersey girl, I loved the prices here. $ 5 drinks? Actual, real, name-brand $ 5 drinks, not during happy hour??! Sign me up anytime! The food was average — I tried the classic cheeseburger and fries, which hit the spot but was nothing special. The outdoor seating and affordable prices make this a good stop in Harpers Ferry National Park.
