I got a cheeseburger and fried okra they were as good as I thought it would be. The staff was nice it was so fun to visit. Nice simple place to eat. What I thought was horrible was the Cracker Barrel corporation itself making their staff work 7 hours and 45 minutes with absolutely no break. They do this because if they gave their employees 8 hours they would have to treat their employees like human beings and let them sit down for a moment. You are a selfish evil corporation and I for one will be telling everyone I meet how terribly you treat your staff.

Beware someone who works in the kitchen is a nasty individual. Let me pretext this by saying I love Cracker Barrel, great food and great service with decent prices. Last week three of us were traveling back from Christmas vacation on Saturday, by Monday night at almost the exact same time all three of us were sick. This is the only place all three of us did the exact same thing. Beware someone in that kitchen came to work sick and was not even considerate enough to cover their cough or sneeze. I head down interstate 40 at least once a year and I will be sure to pass right by this place; unless you want to get sick or eat food covered in someone else’s cough and sneeze I suggest you do the same. You have been warned.

It’s been a while since I have been to Cracker Barrel, but I came with a group and the experience actually exceeded expectations. Most of the items on the menu are«heavy» like their specialty, chicken fried steak and country gravy. But because I recently had stomach surgery, my diet is severely limited. I did have a fresh grilled trout meal for about $ 11 that was nicely prepared, presented, and tasty. Can’t remember what wife had, but I recall she enjoyed it. Group travels to this area once a year and ALWAYS stops here, so we’ll be back, for sure.
