I was so excited to discover the Beyond the Menu app that let me order online for delivery(!!) from 2nd St Wok. Used it twice now, both times delivery was fast, food was hot and delicious. Prices are very reasonable for the volume served. Cannot recommend going into the restaurant itself. Stick with delivery.

Ordering online was super easy by using the BeyondMenu website. It’s $ 1.50 for delivery and boy do they deliver fast. From the moment I placed my order to getting a call from the delivery guy saying he was downstairs, a mere 15 minutes had gone by. Food was piping hot and delicious. The combination meals are a great deal and reasonably priced. The crab rangoon could have been crispier(they seemed a bit chewy/soggy) but the filling was tasty. They also gave us tons of sauces(duck, soy, mustard, and dipping sauce for the crab rangoon) and I loooove saucin’ up my Chinese food.

Good food. They have good specials. Volume of the food is decent for the price. Will be back for sure

Like we always do, we ordered Chinese food from work. We ordered a general tso chicken with no veggies and white rice on the side. When the order came it was the normal General tso chicken with rice and broccoli. We were also short an Egg Roll. I called to get the order corrected. The guy that answered the phone said we should just pick the broccoli off and eat it. He argued that all egg roles were there also. I have never had a company that knew they messed up the order insist on eating something that was not ordered or rectify the situation by bringing the correct food that was ordered. Needless to say the guy was a jerk and because of this we will never order from there again. Which is a shame because it is one of the better tasting Chinese food establishments. I’d recommend this place to NOONE just because of the poor attitude of the staff.

The steamed vegetable dumplings disappointed me. They were just full of cabbage. Very bland.

I have been living in the midtown area for about 10 years now. I eat Chineese at least once a week. My restaurant of choice has always been 2nd Wok. Until today. This is the second time I have tried to express a concern about my order and they have hung up on me and would not answer the phone. I ordered there out of convenience, but no more. I will not keep supporting an establishment that has no problem taking my money but no interest in hearing my concerns. You can’t come here open businesses and disrespect citizens. You lack professionalism, class and respect. Never again!!!

F*** this place big time. Ordered duck, which looked normal enough. Took a bite, and it had the consistency of custard, and the taste of rotten fish. I nearly puked on the spot, which probably would’ve been preferable to the 10 hrs of feverish sweating, stomach cramps, and urgent trips to the facilities that hit me just as I was falling into stage 3NREM sleep around 4 that morning. If that’s not enough to convince you, delivery took over an hour, the spare ribs were chewy, and the«spicy» Szechuan dumplings tasted like Smuckers sugar free orange marmalade, the worst of the Smuckers’ orange marmalades, IMHO. Avoid like the plague, a form of which you will most likely contract if you fail to heed my advice.

If the look of the place was any indication of the food, I would have passed. I really wanted Pad Thai… what was I thinking? Too lazy to drive over to Paxton Street. This is possibly the WORST pad thai in the world!!! More like spaghetti with ketchup ewww yuck! The veggies looked like they were cooked 2 days ago. I have eaten pad thai in Thailand and even in Kuwait – this was pure crap. They should not be allowed to sell Thai food. Never, ever, ever again.

Dumplings are terrible… Teriyaki chicken is ok. Garlic sauce and Szechwan sauce are good though. I’d order again. Pricey for delivery though, so I’d suggest picking it up.

Kind of a scary place. Looks like street fare in Hong Kong. Food was pretty good. Came out hot and fast. Needed more spice /heat.

My weekly staple is #57 Singapore Mei Fun extra spicy… can’t find it anywhere else. It’s deliciously the spiciest noodle dish I’ve ever had. I’ve turned so many other people at work onto it because it clears the sinuses.

About ¾ of the way through my «pork» eggroll I happened upon what appeared to be the first, and subsequently only, sign of meat. It was a small cube, measuring no more than a few millimeters on each side. Unfortunately, my tastebuds were so saturated with sodium by that point that I couldn’t determine if it was in fact pork. And that’s kind of how the rest of the meal went. Fast delivery though.

** I’m adding another star because the food still always arrive hot and fast. Very impressed with the service. I wish they would work on the food a little. I suppose better food would probably be more time though, so 4 stars it is. ** I love the dumplings but the rest of the menu is just average. Delivery is usually pretty quick. Average prices. Food always arrives very hot, sometimes too hot to eat. Again, most food is average greasy fast food.

Quite average food, but the quantity is great. Also, open late for after hours munchies…

Very convenient take out place near me. The menu is definitely Americanized but good for a quick fix. Not a super inviting atmosphere. I tried them primarily for the Thai selection and found the pad thai okay and I was disappointed in my first try at Pineapple Fried Rice … it just wasn’t that good or flavorful. I have tried other lunch specials on the menu and they were okay(but to be fair, I am never impressed by Chinese restaurant lunch menus). I really need to stop ordering the bargain lunches. For Thai, I think I will need to go to an actual Thai restaurant. All in all … 2nd Wok is Chinese fast food. Filling and quick but no culinary masterpiece and adequate for the occasional takeout /delivery occasion. Pricing is very reasonable.
