This is one of my favorite stores and I wish there was one in Pittsburgh. More than just Christmas décor as the name suggests, CTS offers bath, body and hair items, cosmetics, home décor, lawn décor, furniture, Bedroom and window treatments, food, greeting cards, cleaning and pet supplies, and kitchenware among other seasonal items. They have a decent selection of travel size items and containers(1 – 3 oz jars and bottles). Reasonably priced and helpful staff.

I frequently visit the Christams Tree Shop in Harrisburg, PA. This store offers a little bit of everything at great prices. Every year, my kids have a pool party, and; I get everything that I need for the party at this store. They sell novelty paper plates and napkins for $ 1.00, and; I got big reusable storage totes to use for soda and water for $ 5.99. They sell health and beauty, home décor, toys, and; I even sometimes find organic products at a huge savings comapred to the grocery store. What I really like is they very often mark down seasonal merchandise for up to 75% off their price. I got a really cute wreath for $ 4.00 that was almost 20.00 retail. You can’t go wrong shopping at this store. If you love bargains(and who doesn’t)…this is your stop!

This place reminds me of the kind of stores that sell house hold odds and ends at discounted prices. Even though you would think that it only sell stuff dealing with Christmas due the stores name, it does sell things year round for all occasions. My wife loves to shop here for household things and I too like what they have to offer. Thanks for reading my review. This review is based off of my personal experience and opinion.

This place has low prices because they offer cheap, poorly crafted, merchandise. If you go to a place like Ollies, you are getting well made items at closeout prices. If you got to Christmas Tree Shops, you are getting cheaply made items with no real brand names, at about the same price as Ollies. The staff does not seem like they want to be there, and I was cut off or bumped by staff moving items around more than once, and I was treated like I was not even there. And no, this place is not all Christmas items.

My wife’s favorite store… she goes at least once a week. As the previous reviewer said, it is similar to Ollie’s or Big Lots in what they sell, but Christmas Tree Shop is a huge step up in terms of customer service, organization and quality. The deals are outstanding and they seem to get new items all the time.

This is such a cute shop. I love their decorations even non-christmas items. You can find some great general gifts here at great prices.

After just a few minutes in the Christmas Tree Shop in York, PA, I knew that I would never set foot in an Ollie’s Outlet or a Big Lots store again. For the past couple of years, I’ve been forced to hunt for bargains, so I inevitably headed for those two heavily advertised outlets. At Ollie’s and Big Lots, floor help was nonexistent, and both places looked like earthquake aftermaths(merchandise scattered everywhere, much of it in squashed and ripped packaging). But, I just assumed that bargain stores such as these were supposed to be frill-free. That’s why stuff was so cheap. The Christmas Tree Shop is also filled with bargain-priced overstocks and buy-out merchandise, but it’s a genuinely nice place to shop. There’s a huge selection of furniture, housewares and toys, all tastefully arranged. My favorite stroll, though, is through their grocery aisles. Each year, thousands of new packaged foods hit the market but only a small percentage find its way into supermarkets, and that’s only because they come coupled with a huge advertising campaign. The munchies that never see the inside of a Safeway is the stuff on the CTS shelves. Some of the food offerings there are pretty exotic(such as Pakistani crackers or a bottle of «Screaming Sphincter» hot pepper sauce) and priced way below everyday brands. Just a great place to experiment. Like I said, I don’t see how places like Ollie’s Outlet and Big Lots exist when they have to compete in areas that contain a Christmas Tree Shop franchise. When the choice is a downtown Boston ambiance or downtown Beirut, it’s really a no-brainer.

On a whim last night my son and I decided to swing by this location to have a look at what they offer. We were looking specifically for wall hangings and picture frames. We thought in the past that they only sold Christmas stuff, but boy were we wrong. First of all let me start off by saying that we walked in the door 10 minutes before they were ready to close. There were no ‘disgruntled’ looks from the employees at the fact that we walked in so close to closing time. No one was rushing us through the store. As a matter of fact, it wasn’t until we were in the check out line that«Ron»(one of the most helpful and friendly check out persons) made the announcement that the store was near closing. The store motto is «Don’t you just love a bargain?» and they are true to their motto. We spent only $ 22 on 4 large pictures and 2 seasonal hanging items. I was shocked. The selection was good. They seem to have more than the average ‘Wal-Mart and Target’ selections. To summarize, my son said to me «Mom, I was surprised by this place. I would definitely come back again. It was a nice shop!» Nuff said. :)
