Much better than the Mechanicsburg location. Their financing department approved me right away and gave me a lovely discount for the poor service received at Mechanicsburg. The sales reps were very polite. I was a bit dissapointed that they cannot give me a delivery date for my fridge since it’s out of stock and have no idea when the manufacturer will deliver more. Aside from that, the acceptance rep was pleasant, laid back and got me set up. Much better team than Mechanicsburg.

One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had trying to order a washing machine. I was there to «just browse» at the new machines that didn’t have an agitator. The salesman kept telling me how he only had this one Maytag in stock and it was such a wonderful machine, and it was on sale and yada yada yada. And if i wanted it he only had one in stock so I would have to take delivery right away. I thought about it for a while and went back to order it. They put the charge on my card and set up a delivery date of the following Wednesday. This was on a Thursday. Wednesday was the day they would deliver to my area. Their choice to deliver on Wednesday, not mine. Remember that. It’s important. So I went home and started looking up these machines. First of all Maytag isn’t Maytag anymore. Whirlpool bought them out along with Amana. So you are getting a Whirlpool product with the Maytag name. All the reviews on ALL the machines without an agitator were awful. They shred the clothes, walk across the floor, don’t use enough water, and you can’t adjust that feature. And they don’t get the clothes clean at all. In fact, some on the top don’t even get wet. Oh yeah, you save water, but you have dirty clothes. In fact one review told of how the machine agitated so violently the motor burst through the back of the washing machine into her wall!!! I called to cancel the order on Friday. I was told I would have to come into the store for my credit or wait 2 weeks for a check. I drove all the way back to get my card credited and make sure the order was cancelled. Salesmen were much less friendly when you didn’t want it. Big surprise. Then, and here’s the clincher, the next day the salesman who sold me this piece of garbage calls me, apparently not aware I cancelled the order. He tells me someone came in right after me and wanted that machine and they could deliver it to them on Saturday so I couldn’t have it. Wait… What??? First of all I cancelled it. Secondly, as far as he knew I had already PAID for that machine and he gives it to someone else. Because they can deliver it on Saturday instead of Wednesday. Wednesday was their delivery schedule, not mine. How do you sell the same washing machine twice? Ridiculous. Never shopping there again. Horrible.

Bought the hubby a ginormo 60″ for Father’s day. They give discounts if you have a military ID or gov’t ID(employee ID) which is cool. The store is not as closed in like BestBuy. I did not get bombarded by sales people, just one guy asking me if I needed help, told him«nope» and he went away until I did actually need him.

edit. for starters, do not go by their big so called discounts. They are off of what they call the SRP(suggested retail price) which is an over inflated price that no one ever sells the item for. shop around and you will see their deals are really not deals. original review. I called this place up on their Grand Opening day and it went straight to a recording basically saying they were too busy to answer a phone call/answer customers questions because they were busy with their grand opening sale. Well they lost a sale and future customer with this poor service. I do not care how busy they were, they should still have enough staff on hand to take a phone call. I was in their store last week(before their grand opening) and it is high sales pressure because they are on commissions. Good for the employee but it turned me off. They follow you around the store. I’ll stick with Best Buy(which is where I went and spent over $ 450 all because HH Gregg was«too busy» take take a customers call on their grand opening). EDIT– 5⁄2010 went in to look at some tv’s to get an idea of what certain models looked like(not to buy there) and I was not in the store more than 10 seconds before a salesman was all over me. Told him I was just looking and not ready to buy and could not get rid of the guy. They keep trying to get you to buy right on the spot and keep talking about their extended warranries, another rip off. This place is like a car dealership. They need to get rid of commissions. I know these kids need to earn money but it’s very annoying to be followed around. All this store is good for is to go in to see something in person and then buy online, free shipping, no tax etc. I try to support the local business and will buy from Best Buy on occasion but I can not stand high pressure stores. I end up telling the salesman what models have what features etc. They are still learning I guess. This update has more to do with HH Gregg online but still goes to show this co does not care about customers. I tried to make a purchase online, added item to cart, go to checkout and nothing in my cart. Tried it several times, nada. I went to call their cust service dept to complete the order and guess what, they are closed. Granted it is a sunday, but this is a retail store. Sundays are part of when they should be open. What a joke this place is. I am done with them forever.
