Jonathan Mcbride Photography

Mcbride shot my daughter’s wedding in august of 2015. It is now juneof2016 and he has not completed his work for us. We foolishly paid him in full. There are many wedding photographers out there who will get the job done. He should not be trusted.

I chose Jonathan to be our wedding photographer initially because he seemed responsive and took nice pictures. We decided on a price and I paid for the package, which included an album for the wedding. While I got the CD containing my wedding photos, I never got the album I paid for. My wedding was in March 2013 and more than 19 months later, I have yet to receive this album I was promised. Jonathan initially responded with «I’m busy, please be patient» emails but now he just doesn’t even respond. Very unprofessional and not organized unfortunately, will never recommend his services again.

Jonathan McBride is a talented photographer and did a nice engagement shoot for us but I am sorry to report that he did not show up for our wedding. Due to disorganization on his part he failed to show up entirely and we did not have a professional photographer until very late at our wedding. Our photos ended up being taken by a friend of a friend, our wedding was pushed back an hour and a half waiting for that person to arrive with gear, all our dessert was thrown away as a result of the reschedule and the experience was incredibly stressful and very disappointing.
I could go on and on about the stress and negativity that resulted from his failure to show up or call as my mom and I were both in tears wondering if all our careful work and the special moment would be documented at all. We have no professional photographs at all from my mother helping me into my wedding gown, of my beautiful bridesmaids getting ready and their dresses hanging on customized hangers that were handmade for them, of all our friends who came out to decorate the barn, etc. He was also in charge of making us a guest book so that was not at the wedding– we have no record of who came or if there were well wishes and advice for us.
I will say that Jonathan was very apologetic and gave us a full refund for his services but there isn’t anything that makes up for what happened. It’s super hard to ruin something as beautiful as a wedding and he did not succeed but came awfully close.
