The workers here are terrible. Nobody smiled, nobody said hello, it was like a morgue. I walked up and stood at the counter for a few minutes before a woman came over and asked what I wanted. I told her that I’d like a turkey chopped salad, and the blood drained from her face. Really? She turned and walked away and whispered something to a coworker before coming back. She slammed the bowl down on the counter and starred at me. I was shocked. Was she angry because I ordered a chopped salad? Why?! Then she asks what I want, so again, I told her the turkey salad. She just walks away. At that moment, I knew I should have turned and walked right out of the Food Court. Something had set her off. But I stayed. She came back and glared at me. Um, yes, the turkey salad. She puts the turkey in the bowl and says, what else? I said cheese and banana peppers. She rolls her eyes and dumps them in and chops. Then I get the stare again. What else? Um, LETTUCE. She asks what kind. There’s only one container of lettuce in front of us, so I’m confused. I repeat that I’d like a chopped SALAD. She rolls her eyes and dumps a handful of lettuce in the bowl. I have no idea why she was so rude. I did nothing wrong, and I was polite. She walked away and another girl came over to ring me up. She looked like she wanted to be anywhere but in this Subway. Never spoke a word. I won’t ever return to this location. I only hope someone cheers this group of surly employees up one day.

I’ve eaten at this Subway a few times due to it’s convenient location in the food court at Strawberry Square and while a Subway is a Subway this one has one big strike against it. They apparently do not participate in the Subway rewards card points system with either redemptions or earning and that is a huge negative as I find myself at a Subway more than I care to admit to. But compared to some of the food court slop that is at Strawberry Square, Arby’s-Bills Big Burgers-Chef Chen’s MSG Express, this place at least gets the nod for being the best attempt at «fresh» that you’ll find.
