Amazing food! My husband and I came here for our 2 year anniversary. It is fairly expensive so it’s more of a special occasion restaurant, but definitely my new favorite place! Our server was amazing as well!

Always a good time. The cheese and chocolate are the best. The entrees are always good but not great — but realistically dinners here are about the experience! Great service at this location as well.

We’ve been going here almost every year for our anniversary. The food is always great and filling. We usually just share a 4-course meal meant for one person but it’s more than enough for two. Today was our first wedding anniversary so we did the celebration pack which came with a champagne glass filled with chocolate, balloons, and a framed photo of us. It was great! Our server Sam was really nice and the manager Ben was super friendly as well! Can’t wait to come back next year. :)

What a great place, had dinner there with another couple and really enjoyed the whole experience. It took 2 ½ hrs to complete the meal process. The food was great, the cheese tip, entrees and chocolate fondue were awesome. It can be $$$ for a four course meal, but it’s worth it for a special occasion

This is not a review but more of a rant. Checked out the melting pot with the wife. We got there and looked at the menu and at the exact same time said WTF. Why would you want to pay the price this place wants and you have to cook your own food. We went home and got out the old fondue pot the next weekend and it cost us a total of 34 bucks. I get the experience thing but holy crap. No way we are ever going to that place.

Love love love love this place people are friendly, the staff is very patient. I work customer service and something we’re told all the time is to make the experience personable. Every time I’ve been here it’s always been that plus more the staff talks to you like you are a friend they are catching up with not somebody that’s just bothering them. The other wonderful aspect is you don’t ever have to wonder who management is because they make their presence known. They’ll go get drinks, they’ll introduce themselves and they take tike to listen. Besides the food those are things that keep me going back time and time again.

This was an awesome experience. Came here for our 1 year wedding anniversary and Bree was an amazing sever. They don’t have Bananas Foster on the menu anymore, but she did it for us anyway!!! 5 *****

For Christmas in 2014 I got my coworker a conditional gift; a gift card to the Melting Pot. She had been talking about it all year long and really wanted to try it. When she unwrapped her gift she was ecstatic! The condition of course, was that she took me along. Of all the things you may have heard about the Melting Pot, it is safe to assume you heard about the price tag. Yes, this place does have a higher end price scale, but as I always point out: if you play the menu right you will be OK. Three of us made good use of the gift card on Valentine’s day. They had a set menu which turned out to be exceptionally delicious, It came in 4 courses: Cheese Fondue, Salad, Entrée Fondue and Dessert Fondue. Everything was good, but the dessert was by far the best! Just as good as the food was our server. After explaining to her that it was not only our first time here, but also our first time ever eating fondue, she went well out of her way to explain, describe, and make recommendations for our meal. She was very engaged in our experience; interacting with us as if she was part of our party. A restaurant with good food is always memorable, but a place that has exceptional staff is especially noteworthy. The biggest thing to note about this place is that it makes for a social meal. Come here with people you enjoy spending time with and go when you have something to talk about. The dining style and environment is very conducive to conversation and gossip!

The Melting Pot is one of my favorite restaurants of all time! I’ve gone there plenty of times, and at different locations. I am also a member of their Club Fondue. However, this is my first time ever writing a negative review. My boyfriend and I(who are long distance, so a date night is a special treat) wanted to make a reservation for Valentine’s Day. We’ve gone in the past with no problem. I was told to wait until I saw a post on Facebook. The post came at 3pm. I called at 3:30pm, and there was nothing but super late reservations for Valentine’s Day. Apparently they had opened the phone lines that morning, but how would we have ever known? Then, I tried posting to their FB wall,(very politely may I add — I do like the place!) and so did about 4 other disappointed customers who were unable to get a reservation because they allowed people to call before they announced it. Even though they said you HAVETOWAIT until the FB post to call. The social media person decides to delete all of our comments, all of which were politely worded and just wondering what happened. I am no manager, but if I had loyal customers who were disappointed they couldn’t spend an evening out at their favorite restaurant, I would NOT have deleted their polite and concerned comments. What about a coupon? A free drink next time we come in? Something to make your customers happy and want to come back another time instead? I’m just a little concerned with the lack of customer service.

This is simply an experience to be had. It was fun, interesting, and at the same time awkward. The atmosphere can be romantic and/or relaxing depending on your dining purpose. We decided on a 4 course meal which started with our choice of cheese fondue. We got a garlic pesto cheese fondue which tasted more like pesto than anything else. Some of the dippers weren’t meant for cheese, at least if you ask me. While consuming the cheese we got our small salads that were quite delicious. Once we finished our cheese fondue our waiter brought out base to cook our meat in. A plate of raw meat accompanied the base. It took 2 minutes to cook each piece which allowed for a nice relaxed meal. The base was awfully salty but tasted decently with the meat. The vegetables that we dropped into the broth were way too salty after being cooked by the broth. By the time we are our main course we were both quite full but after seeing the dessert we had to at least try it. We got the flaming turtle chocolate which was accompanied by many little treats to dip in the chocolate. This was definitely the best part of the meal. Our bill totaled $ 85.00 for two not including the tip. I felt that was quite high considering we were cooking our own food. Our waiter was very friendly but some of the front associates seemed disinterested, bitchy, and didn’t even look at you when they talked. Most people were dressed casually but the atmosphere is fine for dress or casual attire depending on your reason for visiting. I would definitely go again but only for a celebration. I definitely recommend trying it out for the experience itself.

The Meting Pot Is a interesting experience. Like most chain restaurants, it has its own«club» for regulars. The Melting Pot features a box of strawberries for birthdays and other special occasions. On several occasions the Harrisburg Melting Pot has not been able to deliver on its promise to provide them. This puts a damper on the whole dining experience.

We had not been there in a long time, awesome to be back. Yes it might be a bit pricey, but where else will you be served this variety of delicious fresh food and a friendly, courteous staff. From the front desk hostesses to our waiter to the supervisor! We had a great time, scrumptious food, we are very grateful. The melting pot for two was enough for three. We will definitely go back.

My friend got her license today, so we decided to celebrate a little. A reservation is suggested for them to put tables together. It’s a great restaurant, great service.

The fondue for dessert is to die for. So good. Tried the four course meal and It didn’t disappoint. Worth the $ 100 for two people.

Really fancy atmosphere, but most of the people in there were really casual. Waitstaff seems very professional. Went just for dessert, Flaming Turtle fondue was excellent. Selections for dipping include: Banana, Strawberry, Brownie bites, rice crispy treats, cheesecake, poundcake and marshmallows. Really tasty and not that expensive. Note: Pennsylvania liquor laws prevented us from ordering cocktails because one person in our party was under 21. Not the restaurant’s fault but they were certainly the only place to enforce that for the entire trip.

Let’s be honest. You go there for the food-on-a-stick experience, not a gourmet experience. The food was good. Nothing was particularly bad, but nothing necessarily knocked our socks off, either. The cheese appetizer fondue was fine. The kids liked watching it made at the table. The baby carrots seemed odd for dipping in a cheese sauce. The bread was fine and the other items were fine. Overall it was good. The salad was a huge disappointment. Not enough dressing so it came across as a small pile of dry lettuce on a plate. I was not impressed. The main course is where you realize it’s a total rip off. They set the proteins very artfully on a plate, but there’s a heck of a lot of white space. It was fun to try the various sauces, but most of them taste like they came right out of a jar. The kids were impatient waiting for the meat to cook and were still hungry when their«kid» servings were eaten. The kid servings don’t provide a lot of food(neither does the adult portion for that matter). The various meats had different seasonings but must of that flavor seemed to get lost in the cooking process. The dessert is way too sweet. The things you dip are sweet and the chocolate fondue is sweet. I would have loved a few salty pretzels to dip instead of the marshmallows. It was like a disturbing nightmare set in the Willy Wonka factory in that candy room with the chocolate river. Plus, most of the dippers tasted like pre-packaged, mass-produced, filled with preservatives items. I had a few items then stopped cold turkey. The thought of another marshmallow covered in chocolate made me want to gag. The ambiance is dark. It comes across as intimate. The server spiel is a little too canned and stuffy for me. It’s fondue, not truffles and caviar. I’d go back for the kids. They liked it. They also loved that the granite table tops are the same as what’s in our kitchen at home.
