Walker’s Art & Framing

I wish I could give Walker’s 4 stars to reflect the excellent job they have done with everything I have had framed there, but I bumped them down to three because of their annoying minimum purchase rules for using a credit card. You can’t just drop in for a can of varnish unless you have cash in your pocket. For someone who does not carry cash, it just isn’t worth the hassle when I can go to a big box art store like Michaels and put the same can of varnish on my visa. I’d like to support small businesses, but they need to make themselves available.
That said, if you need a framing job quickly, they are the place to go. With the big art stores outsourcing everything including custom mats and Framer’s Workshop gone from the east shore, this is the only place in Harrisburg where you can go and expect to get something custom made within a few days. The quality and selection are great.
