Stopped in here for dinner the other night. Food was great. Lots of very nice options. The kids spilt an order of fish and it was tasty. I had a cold beer and some fish tacos. I thought they were really good but there was a horse-radishy after taste that was throwing me. I would have preffered a little guacamole instead of the horse radish sauce. But they were still yummy. Hubby had a club sandwhich that looked pretty good too. Will definitely be back for another round.

This my first stop when I arrive in Harrison. I recently had the bison burger and shared a blooming onion (which is huge). They recommend the burger medium-rare, which is how I had it. It was perfect, the best burger I’ve had in a long time.

I’m a local so I’m really sad to give this review. The service started out terrible, the server seemed to busy to concentrate on our needs or fulfill or requests, he also rarely checked on our drinks. I ordered the broiled Maui maui, and I’m a very detailed person when I give my order. I was very specific, nothing on the fish, when it w as s brought out it had a sauce on it, so I sent it back, they brought back microwaved fish. This is not ok, the meal alone was $ 14.99 and I was patient and kind. So sorry Budd Lake but please get your kitchen and waitstaff in order.

I was starving and asked a local for a decent lunch spot. Go to the Budd, she said without skipping a beat. Well, ok, then. The Budd, it is.
I scootched up the the bar using some locals as bookends and ordered an IPA. The Bartender brought me a Iron Horse which I happily started on.
The menu states that the bison burger comes from the owners ranch across town. I figured that’s about as local as you could get and ordered it with some sweet potatoes and another beer. Though I was really tempted to do the fish and chips.
The waitresses were fun and attentive, and the bartender saved my life with a bowl of peanuts while I waited. Solid meal, tasty, fresh and homemade. I couldn’t ask for more. I left a happy camper.
The place was clean and looked well managed. It is not the bar I remember from my youth. Much, much nicer.

Less than friendly reception. Got «eyeballed» on the way in. Apparently we don’t look like locals??? Waitress was attentive and beer is cold. Fantastic menu. Food was delivered quickly and efficiently. Smothered chicken was well prepared and the kids liked their cheese burgers. I like this place. New stop on the way up to the cottage.
