Dockside Cafe

Great, laid back atmosphere. The food was good, and the views even better if you’re on the patio. We had fried pickles for an appetizer, and I had the BBQ sandwich and fries for lunch. Great prices and friendly staff. I had never heard of this place until the day we ate there. Definitely a pleasant surprise — Will go back!

I got the smokestack burger. It was great. You can’t beat the view here. The food is pretty good. It is a nice little lakeside diner. I enjoyed it. Also, the hand cut fries with the house seasoning were on point. Neat place! Check it out.

Need more choices on the menu & more seating.

Dockside Café is a great place for having dinner with family and friends. All you can eat catfish is offered on Friday nights. The wait staff is very friendly and efficient. A must go to!

Oh my god, this place is amazing. My wife and I shared the Macho Taco appetizer, which is nachos with homemade chili, cheese, jalapeños and black olives. They were phenomenal. Some of the best nachos I’ve had. We also shared the fried shrimp as an entrée. Also great. Then came the best part. Something they call the Blueberry Bomb. Deep-​fried blueberry fritters with blueberries, blueberry syrup, vanilla ice cream and cinnamon sugar. Words can’t describe how good it was. And to top it all off, the service was excellent. I would recommend Dockside to anyone. One of the best restaurants in town.

I’ve enjoyed every visit to the Dockside. The food was far better than I expected given the prices and not having heard of the place.
Their barbecue in particular is DELICIOUS. Highly recommended!

I particularly enjoyed this place because we docked our fishing boat and walked right in. We got to sit on the deck with a view of the lake. Service was good and the sandwiches we got were really good, burgers and fries all very good. Nice and clean from what I saw.
Take a walk down the ramp to the dock and admire the large turtles that seem to follow you looking for food!

The good, the bad and the new & improved!
The good — the serving staff are great. They care that you’re happy and well served and will immediately let the kitchen know if something needs some work.
The bad — I’m going to cut them some slack here. Reopening after a long closure and new staff meant there were a few kinks that needed working out. Our lunch took quite a bit longer than it should to come out. The food was also kind of hit and miss. They were open to our feedback though and I feel like once they get back into the swing of things everything will go up a notch.
The new and improved — YEAH! For the new remodel. Everything got the fresh new facelift it needed to feel more like a diner and less like a dive. Great job!

Came here after a day of fishing. The food and service was fine. I would give three stars except the place was kind of dirty… I don’t know if the windows have ever been washed!!! If you sit inside next to the big windows you can see turtles, ducks, and fish swimming below you… But you got to get past the nasty fingerprints on the windows to do so.
As far as the food and staff go —
I had a bacon cheeseburger and it was perfectly cooked, seasoned, and a nice size. It came with fries and those were ok. I would definitely get a burger again though. My boyfriend got the club sandwich and he loved it. His daughter got a kids meat pizza and she wolfed it down… Being somewhat of a picky eater, she said it was yummy! We got fried pickles for an appetizer. They were delicious! Enough to feed an army!
I would definitely go back after hanging out for a day of fishing. It would be better if they could clean the windows, but the food and friendly service are worth a visit!

Might be ok to grab a burger but wouldn’t recommend for anything else. The grilled «grouper» wasn’t grouper and may have been cooked on the flat top. Baked potato was room temperature. They do have a deck that allows smoking if you are so inclined.
