I have ate here over the past ten years a thousand times. And the food is always a little bland with very little spice.

I was with large party last night and had a fantastic meal. The lighting, the high ceilings, and the killer food make you want to eat more and drink more. I wouldn’t have it any other way. I ordered a Seafood Chimichanga and the queso fundido as an appetizer. I ordered much of the same thing, but isn’t that what a Mexican restaurant is all about? Also, word to the wise. Get the guacamole or shrimp. It’s well worth the price.

Out of the chain Mexican restaurants, El Mariachi is one of my favorites. They have a large variety of Mexican on the menu and the food is always good. Authentic? No, but good for Ohio Mexican ;)
The salsa varies — can be spicy at times. (I like those times) I like the bits of onion and cilantro.
This time I had the seafood chimichanga — could have used more seafood but had good crunch and texture. Load it up with guacamole and chalula = good eats!
Service can be spotty at times but we’ve lucked out our past 2 times. Also — there are typically coupons and specials going on. Plus, yummy margaritas!

Really good service that was fast and attentive. Salsa was good and bold, but not hot. Margaritas were tasty, but way overpriced at $ 7.75. Tall domestic drafts were only $ 2.50 by comparison. Food was pretty typical.

My boyfriend and I decided to try it out the other day, and we were both more than happy with our food and service! Absolutely wonderful!
Our waitresses name was Katie, & she was the sweetest, very attentive, she made sure our first visit would not be our last! Absolutely loved the food, and the service!

I have never been disappointed. I eat there a couple time a month so the staff usually knows what I drink, always the same. Chips salsa and drink there before I even settled. They are the kindest people I know. Severs and busers are quick to serve. Food is always great and special requests are no problem. Owner always around to check on things. I go in after work and sometimes it is almost closing but they never rush me. I’ve tried a fair amount of the menu haven’t found anything I haven’t loved.

Outstanding Mexican menu and great atmosphere! Margaritas are very good and the chips and salsa rule. Plenty of TV’s to watch the game as well. Fajitas are my favorite.

Let’s see. People were right, service sucks. Server seemed annoyed and confused when I tried ordering, then they got my order wrong. I ordered a taco with just cheese and they put lettuce on. Like how do you screw that up. Also, the taco had no flavor. I could get more flavor at Taco Bell… that’s pretty sad. Wouldn’t recommend it. At all.

I haven’t eaten here in awhile so I thought I would give it another shot and was disappointed. Went on a Tuesday evening and the weather was nice so we asked to sit outside. I had ordered the chicken pastor, it was just okay, the chicken was very fatty and rubbery, I couldn’t even eat half of it. My husband got a burrito, he said it was okay. We were very neglected by our server and only saw her one time besides bringing our check, never offered refills. Good thing we are fans of some other Mexican restaurants in the area, because we won’t be back.

The atmosphere is very open fun and inviting. The service was fast and friendly. The food was hot and flavorful. Even just the chips and salsa was flavorful. Just coming back from Mexico… This was just as good– I will be back!

Ate there 3 times. Won’t go back again. 1st time, service was good, diablo fajitas delicious, I was happy. 2nd time, I went with a friend, diablo fajitas weren’t sizzling on the skillet in the least and weren’t as spicy. Lack of consistency is a peeve of mine. Bad service. Ignored and waited 20 min after meal was finished and plates taken before we got our check. Order was messed up as well. 2 other tables were served and left that came in after us. 3rd time was the icing. Went w my parents and my father couldn’t finish his taco salad because he said it tasted funny and my diablo fajitas were sent to another table and then brought to me. Was on their table long enough to not sizzle by the time I received it unknowing if it had been eaten off of. I’m done. Never again.

Eaten here several times and the food is awesome, the prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is bright and festive with plenty of TVs and the service is top notch. Highly recommended this location if you’re in the mood for authentic Mexican menu.

Some good «American Mexican» choices such as fajitas, burritos, etc. The Omar Salad (named after the owner) is very good — grilled chicken, romaine lettuce, strawberries and nuts. Good beer selection, like Negra Modelo and very large large drafts.

I have never had a bad experience at this restaurant. The chips can sometimes be a bit overdone but that hasn’t been the case for a while now. The staff is always friendly and the food is always perfect. My absolute favorite thing: there is an entire vegetarian menu! You don’t see that very often. Very clean restrooms. Nice bar, and patio. The only thing that could make this place better is if there were a mariachi band playing!

My mom and me would always look forward to our lunch there when we would have our monthly «girls day». We haven’t been in probably 6months but just ate here this weekend. Within ten minutes of us sitting down we had drinks salsa and chips and our lunch Usually the salsa and chips are very good but this time it was watery and no flavor. The food came out a couple mins after ordering we both got the burrito deluxe off the lunch menu. Although the plates were very hot as usual the food was not warm at all. The refried beans had a funny taste to them and the meat was so greasy. We could not even finish our lunch. My mom ended up with food poisoning. The previous time to us going there I got a margarita the first one was sent back due to not tasting like anything but water and the second one they brought had a fly In it. Needless to say We will not be back.

My Wife and I love El Mariachi. The food is some of the best Mexican fare in the Cincinnati area and the beer is always ice-​cold. Staff is always friendly and courteous. Pricing is very friendly on the wallet and the food is top-​notch. My usual would be the Pollo Verde and a tall draft beer, but you’d be extremely satisfied with anything off their fantastic menu. Highly recommended!

My favorite mexican restaurant!!! I suggest the Chicken Fajita Quesadilla… you won’t be sorry!!! their queso dip is the bomb and mix that with the salsa, rice and chips and you are in heaven! :)
