This was definatly not a good hotel. First of all it smelt like old baby food everywhere in the hotel. The pillows were flat, the beds were like trampolines, and the tub was high so you could easily fall. There are only two pillows per bed. The toilet was dirty and the floor was stained almost everywhere! Dont waste your time!

I have been staying at the Harrison Super 8 every three months for the last four years. It has always been satisfactory for my visits until this trip. I drive out from Las Vegas to see my son. This trip started off bad with a major break down in Texas and a flat just outside Harrison. We arrived at the Super 8 at 3 am about 7 hours late and exhausted. I go in to check in and the night clerk says that they didn’t think we were coming so they rented out our room which was reserved for a week long stay in advance. So after looking at room keys and the computer several times he says there is nothing he can do. But we can sleep in the car until 11 am when the guest in our room check out. I go across the street to the Days Inn to get my family some sleep. Big mistake(read review). So we get back to the Super 8 at 11 am and now they tell us the room wont be ready for at least an hour. The owner does the pre auth on my card. They have always pre authed one night and then I pay the total when checking out. Four days later I find out that they had pre authed nearly $ 400 dollars or two times the total bill. In the room we find it has no suit case rack or refrigerator. House keeping has to go through the other rooms on that wing to find a suitcase rack. I talk to the owner about the refrigerator and I am told they don’t rent that room out much but if we need one he will call the room around 1:30 so I can help him carry it up the stairs. I’m on vacation so why would I mind moving appliances. But at least we now have a refrigerator. Now my wife has epilepsy and she has a seizure while I am out picking up my son. She has bitten her lip and used a hand towel to stop the bleeding. She goes to the front desk to get a another towel and the desk person yells at her that people like her have the responsibility to advise the desk of her condition so she wont ruin the good linen. They have dark towels for people like her. I confront the owner and he says they don’t have any dark linen but we can let her use the pool towels. Mean while back in the room the bed linens are ripped and the bed spreads have holes burned in them from cigarettes. That is just day 1. The rest of the stay can be condensed into 1 Housekeeping only cleans our room once in six days even with the Super clean tag on the door. Front desk is told every day and we are given multiple excuses about how it’s our fault. 2 The pool for the first time is murky and dirty. No one cleans or services it the entire time we are there. 3 A little league team is on our wing. They are running up and down the hallway knocking on doors and hiding at 3 am. Three guests complain to the night desk and nothing is done. This continues for the entire weekend. After all of this, I go to check out a to find out they had already checked us out and ran my card. No comp, no discount or apologies. Super 8 has been home to me and my son when we have visitation in Harrison. Now after four years I will have to find another place to stay.
