The Village Tie Up

Nice little general store right on the lake. Since they have opened up the ice cream place next door, which is very nice, they seem to be stretched out to the max. Out of stuff a lot. Maybe no place for storing product anymore? Hard trying to find more good help? Mostly a very friendly staff works here. Food overall is pretty good. There’s one thing that ruins this place for me. There is one girl who works here behind the counter at the cash register. Don’t know her name (young, brown hair, lacrosse or soccer player), but she totally acts like she could care less about the business and its customers. Never says hello, or thank you after your purchase. If they are out of something (food or coffee), which they have been a lot lately, she won’t apologize. Just a shrug. She will sell you hours old, dried up slices of pizza, which she did to me. They should have given that old stuff away. She might be an incredibly nice person. I don’t know. But she has no business working here.

What a great joint. Took the boat up this Sunday am and was welcomed with the sounds of Sgt Peppers Lonely Heart s Club Band playing on the boom box. The bacon egg and cheese was so good… I had another. Have been coming here for 2 seasons now… can’t beat the pizza. sandwiches and friendly honest service. Seeya next Sunday!
