Quality Inn

Recently spent two nights here with my wife as we were visiting family in Harrisonburg. I booked the hotel through Hotwire and got it for $ 55 a night. I was guaranteed a 2.5 star hotel and was not disappointed. The hotel is in a great location as their are many restaurants around (Texas Roadhouse right across the street) and there is even a Wal-​Mart just down the hill.
All of the staff that we interacted with were very nice and helpful. As with the Hotwire booking, we were not able to pick our specific room. When we arrived, the gentleman behind the counter indicated that we were booked in a smoking room with a king sized bed as asked if that was alright. I inquired if we could have a non-​smoking room and he stated that that was not a problem!
The room was very clean, free of smells, and looked fairly new. Everything worked as it should (fridge, air conditioner, shower, etc.) and we had no problems. There is a pool and a workout room, but we did not use either as we weren’t in the hotel that much. The breakfast was served every morning from 6am to 9am and consisted of your usual hotel food; it wasn’t bad and it wasn’t great.
I would definitely stay here again if I return. One of the better hotel experiences I’ve had considering the price.

Unilocal Reviews were very helpful in the decision to book. If your looking for a very clean, spacious, well appointed room with a bed you wish you had at home, try this Quality Inn. My wife like to soak in a tub after a long drive… check that box. Pet friendly, check. Friendly staff, check.
Writing this from the room during our one nite stay, so haven’t done breakfast yet, but continental is just that, a glass of juice, hot coffee, and a muffin/​toast, and perhaps some fresh fruit. So I’m never expecting to rave about it. Adequate is all I hope for and if it’s anything near the standard of the room, I’m sure I’ll be satisfied.

I travel a lot and this is the best, if not one of the best, chain hotels in the U.S. Using my advance purchase option as a Choice Hotels member, I was able to reserve two nights for $ 75 each and this place well exceeded my expectations. I expected the average 2 or 3 star hotel near a college campus, but I felt like I had paid much more than I did. The hotel is a beautiful building just near JMU’s campus and only 10 minutes away from the historic downtown. The bed was so comfortable, the room spacious and the shower excellent. Incredible value for the money.

It’s a chain hotel so not a lot of surprises but staff was kind and helpful. Our king sized bed was great. Clean, easygoing, and hard to miss.
