Worst tattoo shop ever, ruined my back. Never changed needles for filling in. You could see my skin where it should have been solid black. It was off center with my spine. All the lines were shaky like the person had Parkinson’s. The shop was grungy and is in a shady building in a bad location in Harrisonburg. I had to get it covered by painted lady, they did a good job. It was a tribal and the lines end up being 2x as thick in order to make it look half decent. I lost $ 150 to tj’s and he only finished half the tattoo. I would have given them negative stars but it wouldn’t let me. GO TO PAINTED LADY OR ALLEY CAT!!! PLEASE!!!

i like TJ’s because they are anal retentive about sanitation and cleanliness, which is so important in this business. they are genuinely concerned for your wellbeing. TJ has a calming demeanor. they make it clear not to get their services if you are drunk or high, which is a problem in the business. they even do programs for students at nearby JMU to help idiot freshmen pick a clean and safe tattoo artist/​piercer. very professional and a good place to get your first tattoo or piercing.
