They went above and beyond to make sure my sister was ready for a wedding. It’s a rare moment that a business puts a person first, which is refreshing to see and applaudable.

I went to Tangled Spa for a massage, because I received a gift certificate. I usually book elsewhere for my massages, so I was skeptical coming here. The masseuse was very sweet and hit all my problem areas. I ended up getting a 90 min massage which was lovely and relaxing. My only issue is that the spa is a full service spa. Hair, nail, facials, etc. During my massage I could hear people laughing outside my door, kids running around being loud and someone opening/closing the clothes dryer(literally right outside the room I was in). It was not a zen like atmosphere and wouldn’t come back for a massage. Maybe rearrange the rooms so the massage rooms are furthest away from the waiting room/hair section?

I love Tangles Day Spa. I have been going there for over 10 years. I started going back when they were above the Dairy Queen on Port Rd. I moved to Northern VA three years ago, and I still trek back to the burg to get my hair done. They have all kinds of services including massage, nails, makeup, hair, and more. The people that work there are fabulous. They work super hard to meet all of your needs and give you the service you want.

I’ve been going to this salon for 5 years now! I have really long gorgeous hair and am super picky about who touches it. Absolutely love my stylist Ashley. Went to her after Hair Cuttery bleached out and severaly damaged my hair. She used special conditioners to get my hair back to its glory. We then, with great reluctance, tried partial highlights again and they turned out amazing. Last summer went there for my wedding to get my hair and my bridesmaids hair and makeup done. Ashely was honest and told me she wasn’t the most creative at updos but pointed me to the right person. My hair on my wedding day was breath taking! Have used two other stylists there as emergencies, Tara who was Ok, and the other girl who did my updo also did my color once but she is gone now:( Reasonable prices, hair cut, color, and style are usually around 95 – 100 for me and I have super long hair. Loved their bridal packages. I took away a star because Ashley has reduced her hours and is always booked up. The other stylist I loved is gone now. I hear Erin is great but she has been booked for the last 2 weeks as well. I also got a massage here once which was ok but I prefer Cedar Stone for massages. Pedicures and manicures here are good but I prefer Holly’s Nails. If Ashley leaves, unless they get some great new talent I won’t be coming here anymore sine I moved 30 minutes away.

I don’t like giving 1 star but when looking for a new place to get your hair cut or done, it can be a scary thing. I wouldn’t recommend anyone going here for their hair cutting, highlights or hair updo services. I’m not familiar with their manicure or pedicure services so I cannot rate those. Let’s start out with the positives: everyone there was very nice, the place was relaxing and clean and the location was easy to find. The first time I got highlights done I asked the girl for a barely lighter color(than my dark brown hair) because I just wanted to ‘try’ them out. Once she took the foil out and blow dried my hair, I had bleach blonde highlights in my dark brown hair. She proceeded to tell me that they would darken and they looked great. I’m not one to complain or give someone a hard time, so I just ended up leaving, going to Sally’s and dying my hair until it all grew out. The first time the cut was fine(excluding the highlights) so I went there again to get my hair trimmed. The girl that cut my hair layered half of my head and not the other half. I had said I just wanted a few light layers, but she ended up taking off several inches(this was about two years ago when the ‘bobs’ were in style) so there was nothing I could do except let it grow. I don’t know why I made the mistake of going there a third time, but for whatever reason I decided to try out an updo from them for my wedding. I’m just glad I tried it months before. It turned out horrible. My hair was as shiny as a penny, as hard as a rock and about as attractive to look at as poop. I ended up calling ‘the studio’ in downtown Harrisonburg to get my bridesmaids and myself scheduled to get our hair done — ‘the studio’ did a fantastic job and I would recommend them any day. Make the call for yourself, but please don’t be as blind as me and go back three times if you have one bad experience… its a tell tale sign of whats to come.
