Ball’s Price Chopper

Pretty store… Expensive

Ball’s Price Chopper is a clean nice-​sized grocery. They have a great variety of items, and the prices seemed reasonable. They even have a bakery with delectable-​looking pastries and even a beautiful wedding cake. There is also a liquor store connected to the store and the staff there was very personable and was the epitome of Midwestern hospitality.
We were just passing through, so I cannot say that this is the best place to go for groceries. But if I lived in the area, I could see Ball’s Price Chopper becoming one of my stops when I am doing my grocery shopping.

I’m writing this review for the starbucks inside this price chopper. My husband And I were traveling home from a trip and decided to stop and get a drink. It was 730 at night and I’m guessing they close at 8. The pastry case was empty but a large Tupperware was sitting right on the counter full of the pastries. I asked the lady If they had any pastries left and she told me they had just put them away in an annoyed tone. I guess I don’t get how hard it can be for some people to be polite. and our drinks were WAY too sweet compared to our normal ones. I used to be a barista. Customer service is a dying art.

Very clean. I prefer Price Chopper over Walmart because it’s very organized and the staff is always super friendly!

I’m writing this one for my aunt. She’s 81 and not a Unilocaler yet! She loves the new lunch bargain this store is doing with the Thursday .95 salad bar with drink included. She said the manager was greeting everyone, thanking them for coming in, and everyone was excited and having fun while eating a tasty salad for under ONE DOLLAR. She really appreciated how hard the employees were working to keep all the containers filled and the area nice and clean. (Knowing her, I’d bet she was wanting to get up and give them a hand!)
She said the hours for this special are 11am to 1pm on Thursdays.
She learned about this from her friends at church. I’m not sure if its an advertised special or just word of mouth. Shhhh, it might be good to keep it a secret. LOL
