OK the food is good, but the service kills this place. The bartender and waitress just do not care or remember anything. It took 3 tries before we got our second round of drinks and I am a very patient person. Also had to literally chase the waitress down any time we needed anything and even then it was a 5050 chance. This place needs a good staff and a manager that’s paying attention immediately.

Picture yourself in a hotel bar while on a business trip. Low key atmosphere, middle Of the road food, and generous pours.

Attended the hotel and thought I would partake in the hotels amenities. The food is subpar not worth the ten dollars for the buffet at all. The hash browns are like rocks and everything seems to have been cooked last century. The only saving grace is the omlettes which are not bad but not great as well. The service is something I would expect after having the food. There is no way on any earth I would eat the food here except the omlettes maybe if I am starving and desperate. The service is asking for a second chance maybe if I feel generous I will but that day is far away.

If you were to tell me that I’d find a decent meal at a Ramada, I’d say you were crazy. If the said meal was from a place called«Bistro Z» I’d be less inclined to take you and the food seriously. Perhaps that was the blessing in disguise, since I had a surprisingly ok breakfast here during my trip to Hartford. While I admittedly haven’t had their dinner service, breakfast is an easier meal simply because of the meal curve. Things have to be semi-fresh for breakfast, no one likes stale eggs or room temperature oatmeal. I didn’t have either, thanks to a solid morning session that included a hearty biscuits and gravy meal, along with hashbrowns, toast, and a freshly scrambled pile of eggs. For a meal that was less than $ 8, I was already happy. My eggs were the highlight of the meal, along with the perfectly soggy biscuits drenched in sausage gravy. Hashbrowns as excited I am to eat them(a bit of a rare breakfast potato in NYC), were dry and unappetizing. The toast was also on the dry end, but things could almost certainly be worse. I mentioned this to the ladies around the counter and I was awarded with a few greasy strips of bacon. Not a bad replacement. With friendly staff and friendly prices, I might consider dining here again if I ever find myself at the Ramada in Hartford. A solid breakfast always wins me over.

The waiter recommended the pork loin and it was surprisingly good, cooked just right, tender, juicy, and packed with grill flavor.

We visited this restaurant because we had a coupon for buy one dinner, get one free. Since it was near my friends house and the online menu looked good, we said why not? The restaurant was inside a Ramada, and after driving around twice we parked in the garage underneath the building. The garage was kinda creepy with hardly any cars and no people. The elevator to take you up to the main area, did not list the restaurant, just a bar. So we picked the main lobby. After turning the corner we saw the restaurant, it looked very fancy, but no one inside. A hostess showed up and led us to our table, saying ti was like this every night. The menu was also different than online and didn’t really have any ‘fusion’ cuisine listed. They also didn’t have any children’s menus like they had listed on the website. However, our server was very friendly and kind and listed off the options. I ended up ordering a pasta dish and my friend a burger, and my daughter the children’ cheese quesadilla. We also asked for rolls that were very good and warm. My dish was good, but my friends burger was not done to what she specified(overdone). My daughter tasted her quesadilla and started to complain it was ‘spicey’, this after i cleared off all the parsley that was sprinkled on top because she doesn’t like ‘green stuff’. I tasted her meal, and sure enough they had made it with pepper jack cheese. She started to tear up and the waitress asked if everything was ok. I asked if it was normal for the children’s quesadilla to be made with pepper jack. She said she’d return it and create a new one with cheddar, and that made my daughter happier. The meal as a whole was ok, and the wait staff very nice. The environment was also clean and comfortable, but again creepy with no one around except for this couple that kept coming in and out. That evening however, my daughter became horribly ill with stomach problems. I’m not sure if it was from the food, or just a random virus. I just hope it wasn’t because she returned her food! As a whole, i wouldn’t go back because the whole place made me feel a little uneasy.
